taking time for grace ...

i was going to take a picture of a wren perched on my hanging planter, i had the camera all zoomed in and set to go ... then this beautiful hummingbird flew in for a drink ... he stayed only 5 seconds ... but i was ready ... here i thought i would take a pic of my usual wren visitor - when all of a sudden, an unexpected and certainly lovelier bird of another variety zipped in and zipped out!  i thanked the Lord for being ready ...

it's good to be focused on the everyday - to be ready ... because we never know if we might by chance meet up with something out of the ordinary ... it made me smile at the unexpected ...

Those are good thoughts, being ready for the unexpected.
Your photo is beautiful! I, too, had a hummingbird outside my window a couple of days ago. No flowers, no feeders, just a random lost hummingbird! I've never seen one where there was no nectar. Another not-so-random evidence of God's Hand :) Joyce in WI

Delight-full! Both the pic and the insight. It's amazing what we see when we look.

Dear Saija,
What a beautiful sermon you gave me, and likewise a wonderful picture.

Being ready in and out of season...
I love these speedy little hummingbirds, we have a lot of them at our cottage but very rarely here in town.
How sweet that God gives us better then we even expect!

I love the truth you've captured for all of us, in being ready for the unexpected. Claiming the blessing. Yes. =)

Instant in season and out.....how many times did I hear those words when I was a child?! A good lesson for living, loving and serving the Lord! Greast post, Saija!

Many hugs...........

Lovely!! A very nice gift to have the little bird come by. I so enjoy the little birds and squirrels that visit our deck (I call them my "deck buddies").
Blessings, Elizabeth
