the goodness of the Lord ...

this morning i was reading Psalm 33 and a  notation i had made during one of my previous readings of it, made me smile ... verse 5 says:  "He loveth reghteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord." ... after which i saw my note - "Look for it!" ... most of the time God's goodness is soooo obvious that a blind man can see it ... but sometimes we are focusing within - so we miss all the blessings around  ... i'm glad today is one of those days when His goodness is easy to see!!  but i STILL always LOOK FOR IT!

Sometimes we are like that saying..."we can't see the forest from the trees". Good reminder to look for the goodness, aways keeping our mind on Him, the giver of all good things!

I like that! I'll have to write that in my Bible.

The stars and the moon proclaim Him. Everything in nature proclaims our mighty God.

hi siaja..i remember seeing purple flowers like this before, but i forget what they are called.
are they glads?
anyways i want to tell you that in a month, bernie and i will be taking a western trip again and this time, we really want to stop in for a tea and a hug for the kitty!
we will of course phone you saija before we do anything.
we hope to have most of the month of july and a couple of weeks in august..

i know that in am so guilty of looking within and seeing badness saija, but i have to remind myself that when jesus washed my heart clean and took control, then the only way that god sees our heart is pure because he sees our heart through his son!..the son is the only goodness that WE have!
great verse saija...say hi to leo and give that black cat a hug!...love terry

Dear Saija,
You are right.
Too often I'm counting my trials instead of my blessings.
"The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord".
Today I'm also right there, where it's easy to see the goodness of God.
Serina needed a new flat immediately, and got help from a friend I had not spoken to for 50- fifty- years.
She's all happiness.
We had a flat for let, and a woman living alone in a wheelchair, found it suitable for her.
Today.
Things just clicked together, after Gunnar had worked moths to make the flat ready.
With summer, sun and flowers everywhere, indeed,God is good.
I pray for the best for you, Leo and Maria.
Yours Felisol

Oh isn't that the truth! Your bleeding hearts are perfection....they've never taken hold at our place. but we do have lily of the valley and snapdragons with ? white flowers...that reseed like magic every year....hurray for re-seeders! (and perennials)...My spelling is atrocious so firefox keeps trying to fix it! I loved your comment on Kkat...you are such a friend...like sunshine on a gray day you are. *hugs*

Lovely post, lovely flowers... I read a few posts back, was so sad to hear your first house burned down.

But you are right, we just need to have the right perspective, look for the goodness of the Lord.

Loved the visit to your blog dear friend. Thanks for visiting me too, the other day.

Love
Lidj

So true! I read a book the other day, one written back in the 1960's, where the author said there were no more white farmhouses and red barns and stone fences in New York state where she'd grown up in the late 1800's. Gracious! We have them everywhere in my area of New York. In other places she said certain other things were gone for good (like kind shopkeepers who helped children choose gifts) and it was so sad that mostly she'd just stopped looking for them. Thanks for reminding us to go through Life with our eyes wide open! Blessings, Debra

I was writing about this earlier today. Perspective. I choose to believe that there is good to be found and therefore I look for it.
