2010 card tree

i didn’t think i would have a full card tree this year ... i mean we are all cutting back on sending cards ... we do so much electronically or by phone – but look at this – a full tree again for 2010 ... ... this pic was taken today – and these are the last christmas decorations i have up ... i will be taking the cards down soon (sad thought – i like seeing them!) ... it was fun to read greetings and look at the cards ... one of my favourite christmas pastimes ... christmas cards seem to be something left-over from a simpler and slower moving time ...

I love getting Christmas cards. I hate that so many aren't sending them anymore.

I post mine on the door, too, and was surprised that I covered mine up this year. Yes, it, like letter writing is almost a lost art. Really sad I think. I love the fact that almost all of them I receive proclaim Christ!!!!

I'm right there with you. Love the Christmas card tree. I hope you have enough cards to have a tree every year. I'm going to keep sending them and hope others realize what a nice personal touch it is to send a special greeting at Christmas time.

Dear Saija,
Wow, you've got a large amount of pen-friends. How well you have arranged the cards.
I think I have to take up my card writing again.
This door was really inspirational.
I never throw away cards, I put them in boxes and on rare occasions look them up to walk down memory lane.

What a great card tree. We were away over Christmas and...didn't get you a card sent. Would you like a new years card? We have some left : ) whoops, didn't get New Years capitalized. New keyboard here...

I am afraid you are correct about Christmas cards being a thing of the past. It is sad. I love to look at all the different ones, no two are alike it seems. Then to open it up and read the message is so uplifting and encouraging. So often now a days, one is more likely to receive an internet letter or card. I'm grateful for those too, because at least I am being remembered! LOL! :D

I'm so glad you got a picture of them before you take them down... when do you normally take down your Christmas card tree?

You look adorable and happy in your picture.

I always look forward to your card tree photo! I have been very lax in sending Christmas cards the past couple of years. I sent only two this Christmas, and one of them was to you -- I see it there on the door!
