posting about my mom ...

my mom (pictured on the left) has started blogging ... although, unless you can read Finn, you won't be able to understand much! she has called her site, Salmen ajatukset ... translated means, Salme's thoughts ...

i was chatting with one of my sister's, and we concluded that mom is so young at heart ... she is in the computer age and loves to e-mail, take digi pics and now - a blog! i hope that i will always have that zest for learning and growing as a person ...

oh, she also thinks nothing of jumping in a car and driving over 400 miles - all by herself! *smiling, shaking head* ...

I checked out your mom's blog--it's defintely a foreign language I do not know! I still think it's wonderful she's doing it--I suppose you can read it?

I would love it if my mom blogged--she has a more exciting life than I do!

Wow..I looked too...nope cannot read it. But she is sure a spry attractive looking lady and sounds VERY brave...400 miles alone? It takes a lot of prayer for me to drive even an hour from home to see my kids and grandkids...and if I did not love them so much, I would not drive it!

What a lovely lady, I can only imagine how proud you are of her. I'm glad for you that you still have her too. As you can see here, I rode my horse (computer)over...yes, I'm back in the saddle again and enjoying the ride..smile.

JB ... i do read finnish, though s-l-o-w-l-y ... i was only 4 when we immigrated to canada, so i never went to school there ... and i just have to get mom to learn how to post pics (or i'll post for her), it's always interesting to see someone elses take on life!

elizabeth ... mom has always loved to drive ... she is well into her 70th year now (the pic i posted is 2 years old) and has slowed down some - but her mind is ever ready for new challenges ... :o)

maggie ann ... hey! glad that things worked out with the computer!!! funny how we get used to having each other around and if there are no new posts from blog buds, it feels weird! (hugs) to you!

Wow, I visited your Mom's site too. It's refreshing to see someone else my own age doing some of the same things I do. Say "Hello" to your Mom for me. Does she also speak english?
