3 a.m.

3 a.m.

i've been waking up regularly at 3 a.m. ...

do you have times like that too? for no apparent reason, you wake up at the same time every night ...

my mind scans through the faces of loved ones ... wondering if someone needs prayer?

i pray ... then try to find sleep again ... i adjust my pillow ... move the cat gently with my foot ... and then start to chatter (not outloud ... *smile* ... just in my mind) to the Lord about what's on my heart .... i fall asleep again ...

in the morning i'm not tired ... just puzzled about why 3 a.m. seems to be "the time" for prayer ...

I can totally relate--except my time is usually 4 am! I love God's little nudges to pray.

Hi Saija... This happens to me a lot and actually, I've come to like it. :) It's as though God is waking me up and just wanting to love me... so I lie there and smile and soak up His love as though it's coming through my pores. And perhaps, in a way, it is doing just that. Blessings to you... Debra

sharon ... yes, that stillness of the early morning - it seems that i whisper in God's ear ...

debra ... it seems that many of us women have that common experience ... a heavenly Father who loves us enough to wake us up for a chat!

I've never had that experience...yet..smile. I do get insomnia and have to get up and read blogs though! Thankfully not to often.

berrymom ... i missed your comment previously, but i see it now! ... it seems that God has given you the ministry of prayer ... it is the most unglamorous & quiet of ministries - yet one of the most important!

maggie ann ... you probably remember to pray for the right people at the right time, so God doesn't have to wake you up to do it! *smile*
