it is no secret, what God can do ...

It Is No Secret, What God Can Do
by Stuart Hamblin

The chimes of time ring out the news
Another day is through
Some one slipped and fell,
Was that someone you?
You may have longed for added strength
Your courage to renew
Do not be disheartened
I have news for you.

Chorus:
It is no secret what God can do,
What he has done for others,
He'll do for you.
With arms wide open,
He'll pardon you
It is no secret
what God can do.

There is no night,
for in His light
You'll never walk alone.
You'll always feel at home
wherever you may roam,
There is no power can conquer you,
While God is on your side.
Take Him at His promise,
Don't run away and hide.

Chorus:
It is no secret what God can do,
What he has done for others,
He'll do for you.
With arms wide open,
He'll pardon you.
It is no secret
what God can do...

Saija, I haven't thought of that song for ages. My parents used to have that on a record and would play it way back when. At that time I don't think either one of them were born again. Your blog is very special...just coming over and seeing your face is a blessing to me and you always lift up the Lord which is an encouragement in this day and age when so few even have a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you and your husband have a blessed Easter. Our daughter is coming home with her family and I have so much dusting...etc. How will I ever manage (I always think this...being a perfectionist but being older now, I just don't have the energy I used to..in fact I never had alot of energy..smile)

That gorgeous song was sang often in our church by a visiting singer named Mary Jayne...way back about 1965 or so! I can still hear her singing it in my head when I read the words!! Thanks for sharing this!

maggie ann ... i'm glad the song brought back good memories for you, it does the same for me ... it gives hope, just when someone feels hopeless! and don't dust too much, you'll have little fingerprints to wipe off after the visit, so save your energy for the time with fam! thank you for your encouragement to me, you always have a word in season! blessings!

elizabeth ... memories are so precious, aren't they? especially when it is the "good ole" church variety! i love the older songs, i guess they bring back those kinds of memories for me too! have a wonderful Sunday!
