spring rain

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

i woke at 3 a.m. to a gentle, soothing sound ... the pitter patter of the first spring rain ... this morning i could see it's handiwork on the green grass shoots, breaking out of the ground ... a robin was hopping around the yard, searching for it's breakfast of worms ...

we need rain ... if we only had sunshine, the ground would be barren and dry ... our souls need rain too ... i won't fight the showers ...

I can just imagine being there. We haven't had our first real rain shower yet. What an adorable picture!

Rain is a welcome friend, at first...smile. Time to get cozy and a great time to get out and weed when the ground is all soft. Am I trying to convince myself of anything here? Hope not...smile. Blessings to you...and many of them!

berrymom ... yes, i just figured that since i don't complain about the sunshine, i shouldn't complain about the rain either! both are needed for a healthy soul!

mindy ... i'm much more rested today - thank you! i washed windows to let more sun in! that felt wonderful!

sabine ... i'm looking forward to your garden pictures ... i hope that you are feeling WELL!!! blessings to you!

During the last 24 hours we've had a couple of blizzards, rainshowers and sunshine. Now it's just dry and grey, clouds covering the sky.

Yes, I would love a warm spring shower. Both outside and on me. Then some sunshine, and the spring would truly be there!

eija ... i just got 2 e-mails from family in finland and they were telling me about the snow - and a good amount still being on the ground ... but soon it will melt! it has to - you guys get so much sunlight hours in the spring/summer that the snow can't hold up much longer! and the Sonlight, will spread to your inner man too! (hugs)

I love the rain--our souls do need rain, too--hopefully all the rain will be followed by some sunshine!
