how is your week going? mine has been nice so far ....

i thought i would be blogging more over the spring ... you know, now that i am at home ... but obviously that hasn't been the case!!! life has been pleasantly busy, with lots of "puttering around the house" ... and a little bit of visiting ...

i've also done some baking!
this pic was taken on monday ... i made an applie pie and a choco pudding pie ...

the pudding pie is all gone (since it is one of leo's favourites) ... and there is one piece left of the applie pie!!!! :o) ... we both like sweets!

i have some more projects lined ... like staining the 2 little decks we have ...

the mornings are taken up with my own devotional time ... and then when leo gets up, we have devotions together ... it has been a real blessing to "have time" ... instead of "making time" ...

just giving you a glimpse into our everyday type of living ...

blessings sent your way!

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time. ~J. Lubbock

Those pies look sooo good! It's been years since I've had a homemade pie.

Yummy!

Dear Saija,
I will try once more to get a comment through to your blog.
Several are vanished into thin air.
How good to hear that you appreciate life at it is. I think you have a rare gift of finding the best sides of your life, whether you are working or at home.
That apple pie sure looked deliciously and so neatly prepared.
No wonder it's all gone.
I have daughter Serina home with me (us) now. She knows that waffles are irresistible to me, diet or no diet. She has learned the art of making perfect waffles from her grandmom. The two of them have worked together since Serina was four.
Who can say no to food made of love. Neither Leo nor me.
Yours Felisol

You've been busy - the pies look good and if Leo is like my hubby, he's happy!

I also love the tapestry on your wall.
Those pies look yummy, your quite the good pie baker. Mine never look that pretty!
I absolutely love your quote of the day-it takes the guilt out of being idle, sometimes we get caught up in having to be productive all the time.
Loved the little window into your day!
Blessings!

I'm glad ya'll are having a great week. No, surely you don't like sweets. :) Just candy and pies ~ I love them too, but have to be careful about eating them.
