God of the second chance

leo and i are reading a good book by greg laurie called "the God of the second chance" ... we've read other books by greg (he's a pastor from california) and have been blessed by his writing ... thought i'd share a paragraph that spoke plainly about the condition of man - and how he/she can view God at times ...

"Why do we run from God? Why do we disregard His plan for our lives? Isn't it amazing that we break God's commandments, ignore His Word, and then - when we begin to reap what we have sown - actually get angry at God about it? In essence, we blame God for a mess that we ourselves have made, a problem of our own design." ...
page 17, The God of the Second Chance

i like his style of writing, it is brisk and no nonsense ... yet he really provides an encouraging view point about God being "the God of the second chance!" ... :o)

just sharing our readings with you this sunday morning ... blessings on you guys!

Blessings on both of you too!! I like what this author had to say..How we blame God. That is so so silly and really it is childish..Just like a kid to blame someone else..right? Hope your day has been going well. Ours has flown by fast. Stop by and see what our small group bible study did for us today..wow!! We are blessed too. sandy

Dear Saija,
yes, he's my God, the God of second chances. Many, many, many second chances has he granted me.
That's why I'm still here.

Where would I be without that second, third and many more chances that God gives? Where would any of us be?

Thank God that He is God..and not any of us...how many of us would already have filled the quota of patience we humans have?
I'll check this out. I just finished reading Ravi Zacharias memoirs...fascinating...resonated deeply with me...hope to do a review on my blog later...blessings..
