another birthday for maria!

morning!

i sang happy birthday to maria this morning ... the first one of the family to do that! *smile*

she sounded good ...

tho' yesterday she had to have emergency dialysis again because she was suffocating in water ... :o( ... but this morning was better ...

she was sharing about the monotonous hospital food ... she was so tired of it ... but her hubby had made her some muffins last night and he was going to bring her one today - with a tim horton's coffee ... she was looking forward to that ...

i reminded her about what we had talked about previously ... that God can use each of us exactly where we are ... then i said "remember life is an adventure ... and none of us gets out of it alive ..." she laughed ...

just sharing another maria birthday - one we didn't think she would see ... God's ways are not our ways ... nor His plans our plans ... blessed be our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! we can safely rest in Him - and isn't that the best place to be on a birthday ... or any day!

blessings on your day!

Awwww, tell your energizer bunny that I send a big Happy Birthday too! Every day and every birthday is such a gift isn't it?

Your faith in our Lord is so strong and such a blessing. It's the hard times and trials that prove and temper our faith!!

Happy Birthday to Maria too!
Saija, when I read this, I think of the verse where it talks about going through the refining fire and coming out as gold...
you shine. not in a 'brassy' way, but with the radiant glow of tenderness and trust...a wonderful example for me...thank you..
Love, Sita

Belated Happy Birthday Wishes to Maria! What a wonderful time it must have been. I like your quote about life being an adventure and none of us gets out alive. But then, on to eternity...can you even imagine it? I think we are going to be really stunned to realize then how decadent this world really is...and the sin in us too..that mars us. How bright the promises of God are...how I need to clasp them close every day. I stayed up way to late last night and I am paying for it today. The bed is piled with 2 loads of laundry to fold....the dining room table is in full sail with the camera boxes etc. Supper will be a quickie...maybe perogies and chicken & applesauce. And here I be...grin...visiting you. Isn't life great when you are all grown up? ahhhh, yes.

Well, Saija, bless her sweet heart! I am praying, as you are, for her to be comfortable. That is a precious picture. And yes, His ways are certainly higher than our ways! I hope her husband will take her whatever she wants to eat.

Your love for Maria is what really touches my heart, Saija. She is blessed to have a sister like you... and you are able to help her bear the burden of her physical condition. What a blessing to have another birthday. Indeed God holds her life in His hands. Greet her a happy birthday for me. My first name is also Maria. It is a beautiful name :)

You are such an uplifter for your sister I'm sure. God is holding her in His arms, and His plans are better than we can ever dream of.
