5 years of blogging ...

The little birds trust God, for they go singing
From northern woods where autumn winds have blown,
With joyous faith their unmarked pathway winging
To summer lands of song, afar, unknown,

Let us go singing, then, and not go crying:
Since we are sure our times are in His hand,
Why should we weep, and fear, and call it dying?
It's merely flying to a Summer Land.
~Streams in the Desert

it's been 5 years since i started blogging ... 5 years of cyber fellowship with you, my blog buds, who love Jesus and want to be a light for Him in this world of ours ...

i have been on the receiving end of so much encouragement and prayer during this time ... my socks have just been blessed right off my feet - well - almost literally! *smile* ... THANK YOU!!!!

what the future holds for my blog ... i don't know? ... i seem to have taken a break from the computer this past 6 months or so ... my thoughts are sometimes disjointed and i don't get the posts written that i want too ... because of that, i am going to put the comment moderator on ... that way, if you don't have my e-mail address and want to leave me a more personal note - or give me your e-mail address, i can delete your comment and no one else will see it, if you want to keep it private ...

i am truly truly glad that God has placed each of you in my life ... at this time and for this time ... may He bless your socks off too!!!

Please don't totally disappear! You are among many I've visited recently that echo the same sentiment. Perhaps God is stirring the hearts of his women to focus more on the home. I must admit, it's great to find so many sisters in Christ around the world. I got the pictures of the recent nearby fire. Wow, to have it so close by must have been something to watch, pray about, etc. Hoping no one was injured!

Congrats on five years of blogging, Saija! It's always a treat visiting you here. I've come back to blogging after my break--I hope you are back too because I always miss you while you are away. Hugs to one of the best bloggers out there..... Debra

I understand your need for a possible break in blogging ... we need to take time away from various things in life ... and I agree with Mrs. Mac ... don't totally disappear!

Happy 5th, Saija. What I love so much about blogging is that we are all growing up together. When I first started blogging, D1 was a sophomore in high school, and now she's a sophomore in college.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Dear Saija,
I too hope you'll keep on keeping on.
Even if you aren't writing that often,(I don't do that either but)what you write is of importance to so many; among them me.
I know you are struggling, and just therefor, your words are like pearls.

There is nothing superficial about you, nor do you pass judgments or place a halon over your head.
You are brave and true and your faith has proven durable even though hard tried.
I don't know if I'm able to translate my thoughts into English correctly, so please interpret my writings in thee best meaning.
I greet you with I Peter 1 and esp v. 7
Praise to God for a Living Hope
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Yours Felisol

I hope you keep blogging, Saija, even if it's not as often as before. You're a bright spot in the world of blogs, and a joy to read.

I, too, haven't posted as faithfully as before...but I keep keeping on. I hope you do, too. You never know what seeds God will use you to sow.

Blessings to you!
