dry and weary land

"Come, come," He calls you,
"O soul oppressed and weary,
Come to the shadows of My desert rest;
Come walk with Me far from life's noisy discords,
And peace will breathe like music in your breast."

When God places a burden upon you,
He places His arms underneath you.

Just beautiful, Saija ~ He says we will never thirst again.

I love the last line; "when God places a burden on you, He places His arms underneath you".
Sometimes those burdens are placed on us by ourselves and our failure to see God's hand in our lives. How reasuring to know that His arms are ALWAYS underneath us.
Another lovely post, Saija.

Dear Saija,
There is no easy words when friends are suffering.
I'll share the best Psalm with you.
Psalms Chapter 121

1 A Song of Ascents. {N}
I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come?
2 My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel doth neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is thy keeper; the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; He shall keep thy soul.
8 The LORD shall guard thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for ever.

Its true I know, when trials come, God's presence is stronger than ever within us as we turn to Him for help. ~~We had a nice evening tonight. The man who does our frames invited us to a tour of his home. How enjoyable. His wife has the most beautiful collection of african violets...I enjoyed seeing everything. Then we came home and finished the stained glass piece I did Saturday. I can't seem to stop myself from making more...lol! Its addictive...they are so pretty. Hope you've had a good day and that your hubby has had one also. 'hugs' to you!
