gingerbread creations



isn't this a great gingerbread display!  one of my cousin's from finland e-mailed me the pic today - taken at her kitchen table ... what great gingerbread creations ... i love it!  so homey looking ... you can almost smell the aroma of Christmas ...

Very nice indeed ... I think I can smell the ginger, yummy :)! You did hear about the community display of a gingerbread village that got destroyed by vandals? Felisol wrote about it. I checked out the news reports ... the town rebuilt it again within a few days.

The gingerbread houses look so very Christmas like..
One of the tricks is getting the sides compatible when out of the oven. I usually had problems with that. Then the prefab Finnish houses came one the market. Real gingerbread houses. All with had to do was glue them together with melted sugar and decorate.
The children used to love that.
Haven't seen the Finnish houses around for quite some years.

That is so cool! I wish I had the patience to do something like that. I love gingerbread! I just always rely on others to bake gingerbread cookies for me at Christmas time. :)
