as you can see, we did have good weather ... it was only after we left arizona that they got this terrible storm - lots of rain and wind ... and it was only when i was safely home in our condo that the snow started (and hasn't stopped!) ... i thank the Lord for His kindness in keeping me safe during my little vacation ...
doesn't this scene, taken on south mountain, look like a painting! ... i love the desert scapes ... soon the hills will be in bloom, because of the rain they are getting ...
i was able to visit with an old friend, who took me on some hikes (plus she lent me her bike and we rode around her neighbourhood too! ya!) ... that is me on the boulder trail at canyon lake ... i think i was smiling most of my AZ time ... i was so glad to be outside, enjoying a snowfree holiday ....
i couldn't get enough of the desert landscape ... i don't know what it is about it, but i truly love it!
while i was gone, leo and i chatted everyday ... it was so good to keep in touch like that, i didn't worry about him ... and after a week, i was ready to go home and share all my pictures with him (which i've now done, i plugged a memory stick into the tv and we watched them like that!)
my last pic in arizona ... what a wonderful break ... the Lord is so kind to His children - and all the people said "Amen!"

You look so pretty in that picture, and I loved all the others. I'm so glad you got to enjoy the warm weather. I know you are happy to be back home with Leo.

Glad to know you're safely back home!
Praise God for helping you have this get away!

Dear Saija,
I'm so happy that you got the much needed vacation.
You're looking young and happy (you actually always do)with a nice skin tan.
The good Lord rules the weather as well.
I'm glad he let his sun shine upon you to give you strength and recreation.
The desert looks so different from anything I've seen.
For a sunny holiday sure it must be fine, but I think I'd need the sight of water to live a place..

Oh, loved all the pics, especially the ones of you and all those with absence of snow! :) I'm so glad you had a good time and that you are home safe with good ol' Leo. How fun to get away in wintertime! Hugs, Debra
I'm so thrilled you got a vacation and that the weather cooperated. Great pics!
Your happiness makes me smile. I'm so glad you had a great time. Vacations are good for the soul.
so glad you got to take that wonderful vacation
and missed the cold weather they had (o:
Looks like a great tip, Saija, thanks for sharing the pictures. I love visiting Arizona when I can, except for the summer. A bit too hot for me then.
My goodness girl, you go from a snowsuit to bare feet! I love the pictures, you look good in any thing!
Thanks for taking us who are shivering in the cold along with you for this sweet little respite.
Along with Leo, I'm glad you arrived back home safe and sound!
hugs!
FABulous! I LOVE Arizona too. Great trip for you...the Lord knows our need...
Your pictures make me so jealous of warm weather, its about this time of the winter that it gets so depressing. We have traveled to AZ many times and each time I love it more. Your pictures are wonderful so glad you had this much needed break.
I'm so glad you had a nice vacation and didn't have any bad weather as you were traveling! It is kind of funny seeing you out in the desert when I'm used to seeing you in the snow! :)
Amen.
What a nice reprieve from your winter weather. I lived for many years in the high desert .. it is beautiful .. but perhaps I over stayed my welcome because I LOVE my mountain top and the four seasons now. Glad you got to go barefoot in the winter!:)
Hi Saija, I'm glad for you that you had such a wonderful and grand vacation, and in the middle of winter to boot! It has lifted my heart to see your pictures and read the posts. I can't even imagine how special that must have been. The scenery is so beautiful there, I would never have imagined that. But then, God is God, and there is none like him. Praise His holy name. *hugs* to you my friend!
Lovely picturesd Saija. You look good
