another dear to my heart person - maria - is in the hospital again ... she had a mild heart attack last tuesday and so they have kept her in for observation and to try and figure out what is causing her woes this time ... i thank you guys for praying for her - as the Lord brings her to your mind ...
on the lighter side of my life ... here are some pics that i took ...
can you see the sign of the fish in this one? i thought it was cool ... it was one of the first things i saw one morning ... it made me smile ...
we opened the front door (with the screen door closed to keep indie in!) ... and indie just stretched out, all content to finally have some real warmth hitting him ... he was twirling and purring for quite some time ... he made me smile ...
my mom gave me this little tapestry recently ... it was one of my parents' wedding presents - way back when ... it reminds me of the family unit that once was and simpler times in the finland of my childhood ... i put it up in the hallway the other day and when i see it - it makes me smile ...

I saw the fish right away - very cool! Our cat is happy that it's warmer too. We open our front door so he can look out the glass part and he will sit there for a long time, just watching and enjoying the sunshine.
The hanging from your Mom is so special!
Dear Saija,
You indeed have the ability to
smile when things around you may seem dark and sad.
I'm steadily praying for Maria.
Hope the Lord helps her back, she's also a light, his light,in the world.
Gunnar asked me the other day, what I thought my mission in life was now. (being early retired and so on).
The words came , without me thinking or having reflected about it earlier, "To be salt and light in the world."
I jumped back, as it was said. It seemed so huge.
Then I went to my Bible, and it said, Light and Salt, that's what Jesus has given us all for a mission.
I know for sure that Maria is fulfilling her mission at the hospital, as well as you and Leo are in your home.
May you all feel his blessings today.

Hi Saija, glad to hear you are doing good.
Indie looks cute and that tapestry is very much like what we have here.
What a wonderful, special, little gift from God to have the fish there for you to see and then share with us. Love the tapestry!!!
Loved the fish! And your whole post. Prayers are coming for Maria. Keep enjoying your days--that's what makes them go by so quickly! :) Blessings, Debra
I saw the fish right away too, as my husband would say...."its a sign" Prayers for Maria she has been through so much.
Yes, I see the fish! Cool. And yes I will be praying.
What caused that fish? It's really neat!
I keep your sweet sister in my prayers, how is she doing?
I think you have found the perfect spot for that lovely wall hanging. It would make me smile too, every time I saw it. It's good to reflect on those simpler times, it helps get us through life when it becomes complicated.
Hugs!
I could 'go' for a cat like your Indie. She must give you lots of smiles. Your tapestry is special..and even more so that it goes so far back in your family. Yes, that fish symbol is neat.
I saw the fish right away, as well! That is so cool.
And Indie is adorable! I love that pic of him.
