He cares ... always ...

i saw this little guy singing outside my window ... and of course i thought of that song ... God always reminds me that He cares ... always ...

maria has been home in heaven for a year now click here ... my that time has gone by quickly ... though i miss her MORE today - than i did the weeks following her death ... maybe it's a missing of heaven and all those dear ones who are already there ...

of course the aging thing continues ... on tuesday i have to take leo to the big city hospital (UGH! that will be a real chore for us both - since leo has such trouble walking and isn't comfortable outside our home) ... they want to check for prostate cancer ... so if you think of us on tuesday, i covet your prayers ... leo isn't nervous about any of it, he is just dreading having to go to the city ...  it'll be during morning rush hour too - and the hospital is right smack in the middle of the city ... ! ! !  all i have to say is "sheesh" ...

blessings on you guys!  hope July has sweet moments in it for you ...

Hi Saija! It's good to hear from you again. I'll certainly be praying for both of you. I don't like to drive in the big city either, especially during rush hour.
It's hard to believe Maria is celebrating her first birthday of being in heaven. Although it's pure joy for her, we still miss our loved ones.

I know EXACTLY how Leo feels. It is the same for me. I detest leaving home for the very same reasons. A year since Maria died ... oh my. Hugs to both of you.

Dearest Saija,
Thanks for sharing pictures on mail and here on your very exclusive blog.
ah, so stylish and so very Finlandish.

My first thought was; is there no way that Leo can borrow a wheelchair, preferably with a motor, so he can feel safer and move easier. Then again, I do not know the Canadian healthcare system.
Of course I shall pray for the both of you.
I have in fact already started.

What you and Maria shared, can never be taken away, it's your propriety forever.
I so understand your sorrow though. She's not gone, you know. She's on a higher level with Jesus.
No sorrow, no tears, no pain.

I've been thinking of and praying for you and Leo. I didn't know I should include going to the city in my prayers! I will add that immediately!
I understand just how you and Leo feel about that. I like my familiar roads in my familiar little area. Plus for Leo, he has added stress because of his pain.
Maria has no stress, no sorrow or's so hard to imagine at times when we feel such a lonliness for her. One day we too will be blessed beyond comprehension...what great hope we have!

The sparrow came as a reminder that God 's ye is on both of you.

Trusting god for a good report.

watching over you guys and
I prayed and will continue

the city noise and traffic

Dear Saija,
Just want both of you to know, I am still praying for your Tuesday appointment.
In Norway is early Tuesday morning and I pray you'll have a good night's sleep before your trip to the grand city.

Hope your day goes well. I don't drive in the city at all, so I feel for you having to get into the hospital there.

I have been lifting Leo up to the Lord yesterday and now again today (Tuesday) ..

May your heart and mind be filled with good memories of Maria as you mark the anniversary of her reaching Heaven.

Please take care while in the city .. I know it can be quite uneasy getting around a large city when you're not in traffic much. Please keep us posted.
