blessings and an anniversary ...

a week ago, as i watched the sunrise - i heard the sound of a float plane revving up to leave ... i ran for my camera, opened the drapes wide and zoomed in for a shot with my little camera ...

i was able to capture the float plane preparing for take off ...
i thanked the Lord for the opportunity of 'being ready' to snap pics of this normal, almost every day, activity on the river ...
it was a successful take-off ... and a smile maker for me ...

and i'm glad i have a blog to share these photos on ... i've been blogging for 7 years now (today in fact!)  ... this little space has served many purposes over that time ...i've made friends ... met others who deal with chronic pain ... entered into prayer for the family of God, and been humbled when i've been the recipient of prayer ... it's been a blessing in these and countless other ways ...

thank you for being part of it!

Dear Saija your smile maker photos are excellent. Tiy are blessed to have such a lovely view from your window. I live in the heart of the busy city and like the greenry around me although its hard to keep unwanted plants and shrubs from comming up.

You are a dear sister in Christ I am blessed to have you.

Congratulations for your blog anniversary

God has provided such a lovely view for you and Leo. I would have a hard time not just sitting and staring out the window all the time.
I'm so thankful for you and for your blog. You have become such a precious friend to me. I feel as though we have walked many miles of life together!
Happy Anniversary!

Hi Saija.
I "found" you through Mari's blog. Funny as her blog is, I was concerned you've never had a colonoscopy. Please do, it's really not bad and so good to know all is well where we can't see.

Your photos are beautiful! I also live with chronic pain ever since an auto accident eleven years ago, pain is my 24/7 companion. I hope through our blogs we can encourage each other. God bless.

How perfectly cool! A couple of mornings ago I had the privilege of seeing our local airstrip runways lit up in the pitch dark (my first sighting), as I was driving the school bus. How I wished for a camera to capture the beauty of the lights. It looked for all the world like a full-sized airport.! I could not see the plane for my driving. Not sure if it was incoming or outgoing. So glad you were able to capture yours. Something special about a plane being on water too.

Oh that would be exciting to see the that plane take off! Yesterday we had a friend over to lunch who is a pilot. He showed us pics of a 13 million $ flight simulator where he & other pilots go for training at certain times. I can't even imagine piloting a plane. But, it sure is exciting to watch the planes. I've gone outside different times to watch small planes do 'tricks' grin...we live not far from a small airport. And those hang-gliders must be fantastic to ride in. For the brave of heart, which leaves me out....lol. Hope all is well in your world and the snow is holding off!

Congratulations, Saija!! I know it has been a looong time since I have popped up on your site, but I am trying to begin once again with my blogging.

I always enjoy your pics, as well as what you share in writing. :) Now, I am going to go get caught up with you a little bit by poking around and reading some of your older posts.

Blessings my friend!!!

Hi dear Saija, Just blogging the evening away and thought I'd pop over and say Hello. Blogging is so restful. R is cleaning out the chimney poor fellow! Of all the dirty jobs. But he bravely tackled it so he can start the woodburner soon. I'm for that! =)
