abiding ...

i took this picture on vancouver island ... and i bumped into this verse this morning ... so i thought i'd put them together ... to remind myself to ABIDE in HIM - so that i can WALK just as HE walked ... our walk is our proof of the love we have for JESUS ... it's not a works thing i speak of - but a love thing for our Saviour ...

i do like that word ABIDE ...

and here is a picture of my first rose of the season ... isn't it perfect?!!!   it makes me smile - and just be grateful for all i have, and the blessings i enjoy ... for which i THANK HIM for ...

my little post of praise for this day ... blessings on you ...

Your first rose is perfection! And I too like the word and meaning of 'abide'. What a promise....to abide with us forever!

I can almost smell the sweet fragrance of that rose! HOw pretty!
I immediately think of the old song, "Constantly Abiding"...what great comfort that brings. Not sometimes...but CONSTANTLY!

One of my absolute favourite hymns, abide with me.
How I need Jesus to stay with me. How I long for it.
"Stay close to Jesus and He will stay close to you," is a verse.
So many things are taking my mind away from the goal, disturbing, disrupting.
Helper of the helpless, stay with me.

What a beautiful rose! I am memorizing 1John this year, so the abiding theme has been hammering away at my understanding (or lack thereof) frequently. I love how God teaches us His Truth through His Word. Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm not on here often as I don't have an internet connection at home anymore. I do enjoy your posts, Saija. I have a new app called Art Text that I hope (when I learn how to use it) will enable me to make posters with my own pics. Such fun! Joyce
