8 years of blogging

pic taken on my walk yesterday

Now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.    I Corinthians 13:9, 12

i've been blogging for 8 years now ... in the early days, i posted several times a week ... but lately i'm doing good if i get  2 or 3 posts a month done!  yet, my blogging experience - and the people i've "met" through it - has blessed me MUCH ...

i first started blogging because i felt isolated during those cold/snowy days of winter - plus i wanted to share experiences with other caregivers or those living in chronic pain ... then my blog became a place to post photos with scripture - which i hoped would encourage those who stopped by ... it's also a place where i can share how our Almighty GOD has taken care of leo and me ... when i look back, i am reminded of Jesus' love during harder days ...

i've thought of giving up this space ... but i don't think that is what God wants me to do yet ... so i will continue to "work at it" during the increasing times when i want to just hibernate and not talk to anyone ... this blog is still my little lifeline to my faith family online ... i'm thankful there are still those out there who view me in the same way ...

Be patient, we don't need to know everything right now. In this life we won't be able to resolve every question, solve every problem or understand every situation.
We don't need to fret over God's timetable. We will inherit all the promises of God through faith and patience.

Hi Saija,
I like visiting your beautiful blog. Please keep writing in the blog.
The trees, the sky, the snow and the water in the photo are so beautiful.

Oh Saija, I don't know what I'd do without a connection to you, no matter how infrequent. I do however mirror your feelings on how often we both blog any more, but it seems to be ok. I no longer feel the need to blog every day, nor do I have the words to write, LOL!
I love you my Sistah...let me know when you need a jar of cloudberry preserves!!

I so often stop by to read and don't leave a comment. I am trying to rectify that. I know how much I appreciate seeing comments on my own blog and feel so guilty because I don't always leave comments on blogs I visit. I so enjoy reading your blog and receive so much encouragement from you. One day, when you go home, you'll receive your reward for influencing lives you never knew you touched.....I am one of those people!

I have never commented before, but when you mentioned that you were considering giving up your blog, I knew I had to let you know that you have been a blessing to me. I, too, am a caregiver (91 year old mother), and juggle that with a part-time job as an RN, a husband, and two young adult children and a grandchild. Sometimes my life seems overwhelming, but when I come to your blog, I always find inspirational comments and scripture that encourage me. I am one of those people you have touched without even knowing it. Please don't quit blogging!

Many blessings to you and Leo,

Pam in Tennessee

Life has been so busy lately that I haven't been able to keep up with my blog reading as much as I'd like.

After a very busy week I took time out today to play catch up. Just as I was about to reply to your post I started thinking about today's date. Today (November 3) marks 9 years of blogging for me. Thanks for jogging my memory. I would have totally forgotten.

Thanks also for all your wonderful posts over the past 8 years and for dropping into my blog over that time. I hope I'll be reading many more of your posts in the months and years to come.
