God's answers ...

as i was driving home from the city today, i was thinking of how God answers prayer ... i was concentrating on the patch of road i could see, the wind was gusting and the snow was  making driving difficult at times ... leo had prayed that i would have "clear sailing" coming home - and it WAS clear sailing ... just not in the way we thought ... God gave me travel mercies by granting me peace, safety and the absence of fear ... i am a very fearful winter driver (7 accidents in the snow have left a mark!), so the calm i felt as i navigated the dreaded winter white out conditions, was a very real answer to the prayers of others ... instead of changing the situation - God changed my heart ...

thank you JESUS ...

Thank God for answering our prayers. The picture is beautiful. Thinking of you enduring that cold weather. Hugs ~

So thankful that although God doesn't always answer the way we want - he always answers!

Amen! Glad you made it safe. My husband was travelling west from Portage. He said he could see fine but the snow was really drifting.

I love your closing sentence. How precious the Lord is when the situation doesn't change but He intervenes and changes our perception of the situation and gives us peace in our constantly changing heart. As written in Proverbs 4:23---Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.

I am so thankful He keeps watch over me when I fail to be vigilant over my own thoughts.

I love you, my sister. I am so thankful to have you in my life.

I praise the Lord for your "clear sailing." I too do fear and respect the
winter roads.
The Lord's arm is NOT too shot to save.

A changed heart is better than a changed condition EVERY single time!

"Instead of changing the situation, God changed my heart"

Oh such wisdom and blessing in those words. Thank you so much for this post. I am struggling with a "bad attitude" with regards to my husband's disabilities. It seems we are on the same path as you and your husband since my husband's 2 spine surgeries have failed him miserably.

I just wanted you to know that you have blessed me today.
