timely conversation

my morning sky ... God's artwork is just amazing!!! don't you think?? ...

just wanted to share an interesting conversation that took place a few hours ago ... i don't know if this will go anywhere or not - but it was timely!

i was picking up my aunt at the bus depot this evening ... just hanging out at the counter as i waited (the bus depot is actually a gas/convenience store) ...

i struck up a conversation with the young woman who was the gas jockey (or so i thought - turns out she and her husband own the place) ... ours is a small town, so of course there are the questions of where do you live? how long have you lived there, etc. etc ... i told her that we had just sold our house and that we were renting ... of course she knew our landlord ... in a small town you never can bump into someone who doesn't know someone you know! ... i mentioned that we were looking for a condo to buy ... she said, "oh, my husband and i were just talking about putting our riverfront condo up for sale".... ? ... ok ... we exchanged phone numbers ...

now i don't know if this will go anywhere or not ... it's just very interesting timing ... i don't normally hang out at the gas bar during evening hours .... plus this was the first time my aunt EVER took the bus ... and why would the conversation get around to this topic with a total stranger ... ?

wouldn't it be a hoot if this turned out to be our place?

we do have other possibilities ... but still? i will let you know if anything comes of this ... it was just one of those interesting occurrences that made me wonder - was this a God-thing?

Wow! it sure sounds like our Heavenly Father arranged this meeting. How interesting and wouldn't it be wonderful if it was the perfect answer!

ginger ... you bet! our rental place is sweet and i love the layout - but i'm itching to start nesting again!

maggie ann ... just the conversation itself made me smile and ask the Lord, "so whatcha doing here ... ?" .... let's see how it unfolds ... the view from these condos is really really lovely!

I love God things like that--it may or may not work out for that condo--but it's still like God was saying "I've got this under control!"

I enjoy sunrises and sunsets more each day--do you think that has something to do with age??

JB ... yup, that's exactly it - ... this house selling, moving, etc., has been like learning lessons on giving the CONTROL to the ONE who knows ALL things! *smile* ... and aging probably has a lot to do with the greater enjoyment of lifes simple pleasures!

Sounds very exciting...will be watching to see what happens with this! It is amazing how converstations often end up!

Please pray for my little 14 month old granddaughter, gone into doctors today, lethargic and not responding. She has been ill but it was not thought she was that ill...but she is now. She is so little and without much reserves. Seems life holds plenty to keep us on our knees, doesn't it?
Blessings on your doings,
Elizabeth

It boggles the mind all the time how these things work out. God is certainly showing us the way each day but it is all up to us to watch and find those clues.

I always used to think "It's a small world" after moving to a small town but then I realized it was just God showing me the way.

I left a comment earlier. (couple of days ago ) But it's not here (what's up with blogger?)

I'd love to use that photo as my banner if eija can sort it. How would you feel about that. If you are okay about it - Would it be possible for you to email it to her? eija AT heavenlytrain DOT com

tell her it's for my banner. She's helped me with the earlier ones too.
Also say how you'd like the ack. for the photo to read. it comes at the end of the page. The other's have used full names but first name only is ok too if you prefer (and can link to your website too I think)
