we matter ...

i went for my first good long walk in the neighbourhood today ... even though it was cloudy, the temps were mild and the snow has begun to recede ... it truly felt like a lovely spring day in my corner of the world ...

before i left for my jaunt, i gave my aunt a call ... just to chitchat ... i mentioned my walk, and she told me to be careful when i crossed the highway ... *big grin* ... then leo told me to take along my ID and cell phone ... *another big grin* ...

it's a blessing to have people who care about my well being ... in my small circle, i matter to them ...

we all want to matter to someone ...

even though my heart is blessed that i have dear ones that care, i was thinking that the very BEST is - i MATTER to GOD ... i live a small-town life and my name will never be a household word ... yet i MATTER to the God of the Universe!!!

and YOU matter to this same God in the very same way... now that is awesome star power ... *huge grin* ...

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Hope you had an enjoyable walk through your new neighborhood. You must be so relieved that the 'moving' is all behind you for now anyway. Thinking of how we 'matter' to God..isn't it wonderful!! My hymn that I sing after my Bible reading is...'Lead me to Calvary' and the chorus says, ....lest I forget Gethsemene..lest I forget thy love for me...what a blessed thought to carry with us, more than a thought..a truth. Hope you have a great day. Its overcast where we are but unseasonably warm. I sprained by back yesterday applying spackling?? and sanding it on the drywall. So, it looks like it will be a lazy kind of day for me. also...I think that is wonderful that your husband enjoys you reading aloud to him. Right after our 16 yr. old daughter passed on to be with Jesus, we read a Gene Stratton-Porter book aloud in the car."The Magic Garden". We all hung on every word and enjoyed it. Come to think of it, we used to read aloud other books too. The Freddie books, and Elsie Dinsmore books. Hey, you've started memories rolling...smile. bye for now. Happy day to you!

Your town sounds wonderful...I miss the little one we lived in last, even though this one is not huge, combined with the nearby towns it is plenty big!

You know, I would not like to be famous...I value being private and left alone too much! I would not enjoy being stared at on the street...or worry about having so much wealth that folks were plotting to steal it away...though it would me nice to have a tad more, I admit!

argh..the typos...make that: "it would BE nice...."

susie ... i went for another walk today - before the snowstorm started ... it is very wet & white out there at the moment! but it's sort of a springtime snowstorm - not overly cold ... so that is ok!
