Sunday evening ...

there is a dent in the boxes ... a cozy feel to our new home ... and just a general peace inside ...

when that "peace that passeth understanding" comes to a heart, there are other forces that want to knock that peace right into next week ... but the Lord has given me that gift of contentment and peace and i won't let it go without a fight ... it just feels too wonderful and right to let any grinches step into my heart of hearts!

when the grinch came to visit our house today (in the form of an e-mail) ... i tried to answer it with love and understanding towards this person ... Christmas is very difficult for some folks, and unfortunately they lash out at whoever/whatever is the closest and easiest target ... next came prayer ... then came a hot bath!

now it is almost time to head for bed again ... the day was 95% pleasant ... who can ask for anything more?

Remember
This December,
That love weighs more than gold!

Oh a big huge hug, dearie! My "downer" Saturday came in the form of a phone call. I am learning though...I was talking on the other line about faith related things with a guy who was my son's best friend growing up...and next time that happens...I WILL NOT answer the other line! We never did get back to the original vein of thought because what my son said to me upset both my caller and me! In fact, I had chest pains for yesterday and into today aways...all gone now. That is what emotions do to me, seems no matter what, at least in some cases. We can learn however!! After all, we know the adversary finds ways to derail us and we just need to recognize when that happens. NOTHING was more important than what my caller and I were discussing. Next time I will remember!!

You are so correct about the things that this month brings out in people...nothing that would make one remember the most important things!! For sure!! I love how the refocusing of hubby's and my faith path has brought so much more peace to our lives!! We are blessed!

Boo for the grinchy email! (Some people just love to rain on others' parades and not just at Christmas, either!). But yay that you are holding onto your peace! Thanks so much for sending the terrific pictures of your new home and all the fun you had moving in... It feels like we've been there all along on this adventure with you! Blessings to you and Leo in your new home... Debra

elizabeth ... when we share our faith there ALWAYS seems to be something to throw a monkey wrench in that special sweet time ... :o( ... though God knows all this and the Holy Spirit does His work despite! which is grand!

jel ... thank you for the Huggs ... *grin*

debra ... yes, it seems that some folks even envy leo & me ... though who would want to live with leo's pain? and why would they not want to share in our joy? beats me? i'm just happy to be "God's girl", He takes care of all things ... and takes care of them well if i leave my little fingers out of it! blessings on you!

Sandy ... i loved that too ... so appropriate for our commercial times! hope all is well in your flip-flop world! now back to unpacking!

terry ... *chuckling* ... i'm the 3rd person in this - the relationship is through my hubby ... but i like to smooth the waters, i figure there is no need for drama and unpleasant words if it can be somehow helped! and honest, i'm not so sweet - remember, in blogs we can put our best foot forward! :o) ... hugs to you ...

Ohhh. Grumpy people should be bopped on the head a couple times, give them a bump or two to really complain about! HA! Not really, but it'd be nice.

Thank goodness for baths -- they can make most everything all better.
