enjoying the moment ...

can't you just feel the relaxation pouring out of this laid back cat! he found a sunny spot and took advantage of it ... i can just imagine how warm his fur feels ... he looks so comfy and drowsy, with eyelids half closed ... living in the moment is that good ...

Reduce the complexity of life by eliminating the needless wants of life,
and the labors of life reduce themselves.

I wish we all could be as relaxed as that cat..but then maybe he/she is bored with all that relaxation =). Good quote, but I find as I get older I really enjoy life more I think and take on more and more fun things. I'm sleepy, can you tell? Wishing you blessings! I'm off to bed.

I'm trying to imagine soaking in the sun like that. It's been a while since we've had any.

And then the thought of being relaxed. It sounds inviting.

maggie ann ... i think relaxing is an artform that i haven't quite mastered yet! i know the Lord had me sit and BE STILL in the rental, as the 4 seasons changed around me ... that was an interesting experience ... though now i am ready to "get to it!!" ... :o) ... and if we are enjoying the task at hand, then that in itself is rest ... blessings to you ...

tina ... i love to soak in the sun ... it seems like years since i've had that opportunity ... even at the rental, it was a different type of rest ... this cat brought to mind the loveliness of a drowsy summer afternoon ... something most northerners only dream of in late January! :o)

michael ... well good for you! does that mean you are warming up by the fire? *grin*

Hey Saija!! Where did you get that cute kitty??
By the looks of it, he sure does not like the you bothering him!!
For sure and he CAN be laid back. He doesn't have to deal with this COLD weather.
He's got him a nice sunny corner!

We have snow but it was even too cold to make Mrs. Mac's snowball.
Maybe I will have to use an ice cube....Love Terry

jel ... well i'm so glad you came back to give me a hugg ... just when i needed it too ... :) ... glad to hear that you have some SONshine in your neck of the woods!!! **huggs backatcha**

terry ... the pic was off of last year's birthday card! my fam/friends send me these cute things ... i just scan them to share & pass along the feeling ... and i had to giggle at the mental image of you throwing ice cubes at mrs mac!

I'm not giggling at the mental image of Miss Terry throwing ice cubes at me ;)
Love the cat all warm and fuzzy.

I think that's why I love animals so much. They normally have such a trusting heart and their biggest dilemma of the day is getting their food and where they're gonna nap. I have a clock that says, "Today was a wonderful day. The sun was warm. The bug I ate was good. I sat ona lap." And there's a black kitty curled up in the middle of it. :)

jeanette ... your clock sounds like one i would have hanging on my wall! it's always a good thing to be reminded of the simple stuff, isn't it? :o) ... hope you have a super duper laid back weekend!

Dear Saija...That Jeanette keeps that black kitty all to herself!
Once in a while she gives us a little glimpse of the little darling but precious little if you ask me!!
I tnink the last time she favored us with a peek was at Christmas..! hee hee!!...Love Terry

And she even has a new camera too!

There is nothing quite like watching a contented cat relax. :)

catherine ... they are supposed to lower blood pressure ... must be true 'cause our fearless feline sits on leo's lap for hours - and leo's blood pressure is excellent! :o)
