back to work ...

the morning was serene and lovely ... i woke up before the alarm ... and i was rewarded by this sunrise that the digi captured so well ... i don't know how i got the sun to jump across the horizon like that - but that is what it did ... no playing with the images!

today was my first day back to work ... for the season ...

the drive was peaceful and my day was filled with activity ...

poor leo's day was much longer ... he really misses our faithful feline's company ...

"Let the saints be joyful in the glory and beauty [which God confers upon them]; let them sing for joy upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their throats and a two-edged sword in their hands." Psalm 149:5-6

I'm glad God gave you such a pretty sunrise to start the day. I'm also glad you made it through the day.

Hugs to you and Leo.

Dear Saija...I knew that the Manitoba sunsets are the best in the world but I didn't remember that the sunrises are too!
I guess I used to be a sleepy head and never got up to see them!
What a beautiful job that camera did, eh?

I feel sorry for poor Leo. It WOULD be a long day for him without his TWO faithful companions with him.
Let him know that I will be praying for him because I know how he must be feeling.
Even yet, I quite often think of my black cat and cannot help to cry sometimes. That is why I love Fearless Feline and Jeanette's Snug so much. It is not that I am showing favortism, it is just that they make me think of my own precious cat!....Love Terry

Saija... I'm glad you enjoyed your time back at work (great pics, too!). Hmm...sounds like Leo needs another buddy... We've nearly always gotten a new kitty when ours have passed away--not just as a replacement, since it doesn't really work that way. But rather in honor of the one we just lost--a sign of our gratitude that cats are such good, comforting buddies to have around, especially for those of us who are home so much. We have an animal shelter near us where they have a room where you can take a cat and spend time with him before deciding which one you'd like (and you can visit there nearly everyday). Our daughter found the coolest cat that way and she can hardly imagine life without him. Just a thought... my two cats provide so much company for me, the major homebody, and I appreciate them so much. Hugs, for you and Leo.... Debra

jeanette ... and athe sunrise this morning is beautiful too - less firey - just glazed glass like ... and all hugs so very appreciated!

terry ... sunrises are just an amazing way to enjoy the morning ... i'm such a sleepyhead in the mornings - so the alarm clock & having to go to work - well somehow they are worth it to see God's early promise of His keeping power ... and - leo is still insisting on getting up with me - tho' i fear his day will be longer that way ... :o(

debra ... yes, it would be better to have the antics of another cat to comfort us ... the only thing is - if we travel this year - we don't have a cat sitter like we used too ... soooooooo ... we shall see how it all goes ... IF leo can't travel anymore, then we will definitely talk seriously about a new companion ... but the "wait and see" is definitely a hard thing at the moment ... thank you for sharing!

When we lost Lucy back in December I was just heart broken...so was Mike for that matter. We found this little 1 year old cat, Annie. She is here now along with our mean cat, Simon. Annie will never take Lucy's place and believe me I think of Lucy so often. I miss her so much. She was very very special to me and to us. I think that Leo needs another one. Their company is remarkable. Sandy..PS great and beautiful pics.

elizabeth ... thank you ... and yes, leo is still really sad about our fearless feline ... of course he was the one who went into the room with the vet - i waited outside, because i didn't have that brave a heart ...

Wow!

I really enjoyed these pictures. The lake views are my favourites since I grew up on a lake. Here in Lappeenranta, on lake Saimaa, I learned that it's not about the views where you feel homy it's where your friends and family are and that's why I am happy to move back to boring neighbourhood without a lake.

ba doozie ... thank you ... tomorrow will be one week - and it is just weird not having him around ...

maiju ... this is probably the best view we have had ... really lovely ... though as you say, home is where the heart is - view or now view! :o)
