lovely, sweet, routine day ...

terrible things can happen ... yet, life goes on, doesn't it? our spirit seems to adjust, even tho' we lose more of our innocence along the way ...

today was a beautiful sunny day, here in my world ... it must have hit 20C (68F) ... i savoured my last days of freedom - before i head off to the salt mines in the park on monday ... i did the normal and lovely routine things ... shopping for groceries ... coffee with friends ... riding my bike ... i was thankful for the normal ... the sweetly mundane ... so very thankful ...

i hope your day was peaceful too, as you went about your day ... thankfully, blessedly peaceful ...

20 degrees C, now that's my kind of temperature. Actually the temp range for my workplace is 19-25 degrees. My co-workers much prefer 24 or 25, but I love the 19 and 20. Guess it's that 43 year old peri-menopausal stage I am in.

Just wanted to leave you a note. I have been around, just haven't taken the time to leave a comment.

Oh Saija,,,Nothing better than to be riding the sunny prairies on a bike!
68 degress! How nice!!
We are suppose to get 64 degrees for the weekend.

Back to te salt mines, eh?

No more going to the sugar mines for me I am afraid.
Oh well, I can find some other sweetness and honey somewhere else, like maybe the local hospital and nursing homes!

Enjoy your last weekend off!!.. By the time you get to work on Monday, you will be all sun tanned!...Love Terry

The weather report said it was supposed to be 62F here today. I dressed for chill. Imagine my surprise when I went to lunch and it was 75F!

Enjoy each day before you have to go back to work. will your commute be shorter now, after your move, or longer?

Wow...time to go to work again? Well, I am glad for you that at least you are moved and settled in a bit...makes it somewhat easier to have to go work, huh? Glad you are having some warm sunny days. We are having same kind of temps...I love it in that range! Planted a few flowers out front...to enjoy even if we are not here a long time yet....never know when you rent, as to how long you will stay put.

sista cala ... 20's are perfect bike riding weather - but for the beach, i need about 5 more C degrees! :o) ... and i have 10 years on ya - plus i'm over the hump re that menopause thing - ya!!!!

terry ... my streaked hair will be even more bleached with this weather ... *grin* ... leo might miss me a little when i'm gone all day ? just a little ? ...

j ... yes, the commute will be a wee bit shorter ... i should be able to get there in 25 minutes (you're commute is great by the way!), i'm hoping a bit less ... but it's not a traffic commute, so that eases the stress!

elizabeth ... i know, the time off has zoomed by! i don't know if my head is ready to leave condo central, i'm liking the routine here ... i used to need the change in pace - but i don't know if my haert is in it this year? ... as for flowers - we have a good month to wait before planting! otherwise the frost would get them for sure ...

You know, I was just thinking, I think we take the normal day too much for granted. We are not promise to have good days everyday and when things happen in the world like they did this past week, it makes me very thankful for a normal day. connie from Texas

A day without bad news is a treaure for sure. Glad you are blessed with balmy temperatures. I can't wait for some to come our way. I've a headcold this week, alas, and its been cold here for too long now. I built a fire in the woodburner last night..I had been chilly most of the day. About that college...I always imagine myself the little girl too...Help! those days are really gone for me...grin. Mum always said though, that she was still young in her heart, it was just her body that kept getting older!

connie ... yes the normal, everyday blessings that we (well me anyway!) take for granted - become sweeter when the world around me seems to be spinning off it's axis! it makes me cling to Him who promised to keep me - keep me right to the end of this age!

maggie ann ... i feel the same as your mom ... it's just my body that is aging, my spirit wants to continue to learn, wonder, enjoy, grow, laugh ... just all the things that young'uns seem to enjoy the best! :o)

sandy ... i loved the pic too - i found it on the 'net, so i pass them along by using them too! and i have been having a real blast riding my bike whenever i can! yay!

jel ... it's a large scenic park ... with lakes, rivers, trails, campsites, lodges ... if you're curious you can check out some of my summer 2005 & 2006 posts, i put some pics in 'em ... :o) blessings on ya!

The mundane is welcome to me, it gives me peace and security. Maybe it's an age thing, or maybe I'm just boring! :)
Our weather is finally warming up nicely too, we're so ready for it, it really lifts the spirits to have the sun shine in your face!

Dear Saija...I found that when we lived in Manitoba that the commute wasn't long no matter where you went.
We lived 33 miles from Brandon and the drive to Sunday School every week passed way to quickly!
Even a ride to Winnipeg was a breeze.
And one Sunday Betty and I were asked to take an afternoon drive to Glen Ewan, Sask..Just for a drive and wee visit, you know.
Ohhhhh! those beautfiul flat prairies!!........Love Terry

PS1...I just betcha' that that Jel will want to visit your salt mines now Saija...the way you described them.

PS2Leo is goiog to miss you more than a "little"!!
