shopping is fun? yes, shopping was fun!

i must be one of the world's worst shoppers! unless it involves bookstores, i really prefer to leave the store hopping to professionals!

but today was one of those rare days when i "sort of" felt like going into the city and willingly entered a number of stores ...

i went by myself ... that way when the mood struck to head for home - well, i could just head home!

i had a most excellent time ... and i was amazed ... *grin*

with my little list in hand, i must have hit 8 or 9 stores! WOW!!! and it didn't kill me either!! another WOW!! i actually found things that were needed ... and maybe some things that weren't ... it was just a fun day ... *huge grin* ...

2007 has brought unexpected joy into my life ... especially in areas that needed some lightening up ... and for that ... i am grateful!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

Glad you had such a good day. I am kind of like you, most of the time, I would rather go shopping alone so I can go home when I am ready to go home. I usually know exactly what I want or what I need. My husband like to window shop. I sure wish I did. connie from Texas

Those joys of every day life are so meaningful and important to us. Sometimes we seek happiness too far away. It can be found at home and some little details. We just need to keep our eyes open... Blessed year 2007 from now on too...

So with you on the bookstore shopping! In fact, I have to resist the temptation to go into a book store if I have serious shopping to get done; it grabs me and won't let me leave!

Glad you had a nice day.

So happy for your good day! May your year of blessings continue - God is so faithful and good to us, isn't He?!

connie ... i seem to shop - then all of a sudden the red light comes on and i'm finished! so it is nice to head home, rather than drag around stores when a person is tuckered out!

maiju ... if a person doesn't see the small blessings - they will most likely miss out on the big ones too ... dontcha think?

jel ... *laughing* ... i used to wear 4" heels when i was in my twenties!! i'm almost 5'2" so that helped make me a wee bit taller! now-a-days, i wear flat shoes, and don't care how short i am! *grin*

maggie ann ... well we could have met for coffee? :o) ... that would have been nice, eh!

diane ... and i think i also love computer stores ... tho' bookstores is still my all time #1 place to spend time, just looking and breathing in that new book smell!!

pat ... God is so faithful ... yes, indeed! blessings on you too!

Good Morning Saija, I see I beat you to it this morning for posting grin.. but I did a Wednesday post late last night wanting to get my collage up. Its good to see the sun shining here for awhile. I'd better get busy, the house looks like a hurricane went through. Add up me reading almost nonstop and no energy for two days and a messy son at home for a few days and it is sending me a message...Get at it!! Hope you have peach of a day my friend!

Glad to hear that you have joy in this new year! Shopping can be such a drain ... I only do it when absolutely necessary too. Hopefully spring will be upon your area soon and you will have reason to get out even more. Blessings.

I'm not much of a shopper, but when I go I do want to go alone too. No pressure that way. Glad you had a good shopping trip. Sending you hugs and Sonshine.

I love to shop when I feel up to it. But sometimes it's so hard. I'm trying to get into the habit of praying beforehand for what I need to find. The results have been amazing. I love the song "Father of Lights, You never change, there is no turning..."

claire ... i know, it's a cute pic of the "mature woman" ... *grin*

I'm big on online shopping. I don't like the process of going to the mall or a store, but I do like buying things! :) The only time I really have fun physically going shopping is when I go with my friend Cheryl. She makes everything fun. I'm glad you had an enjoyable day!

catherine ... i have gotten into the online bookstores ... i really love that! and sending something to someone else without the fuss of shipping it myself - how cool! .... i'm glad you have a good bud to shop with when you go into the "real" stores ... :o)
