winter sea scape

it's a sea of snow ... can you see the "waves", created by the wind? this is what the landscape looked like as i drove into the city today ... yes, you read right - i FINALLY went to the city .... and what a blessing! i got to see all the siblings except for my west coast sister ... the siblings WERE the reason for this trip ... my youngest sister lives in the far reaches of northern manitoba and she came down south for a few days ... it was a quick trip, but i'm so glad for the real life hugs and kisses ... *grin* ... just thought i'd share ...

Dear Saja,
what a mighty sea you went through. Even in good weather this was an almost frightening sight. The vast prairie land with a low mountain ridge in the horizon.
(Or maybe you call this pain something else?)
I sure have not seen anything like it. Snow sea.
When one's lucky family are God's gift to us, I feel the same way.
The bonds that no one wants to break are stronger than distance and time.
There are those who aren't so lucky, no money can ever replace their loss.
Just now I'm so happy for you that you managed the trip and that it all went well.

that windy trip into the city was worth it... to spend time with your family... I like the quote "you don't choose your family... they are God's gift to you...
that is a good thing to remember.
thanks,

So glad you got real time hugs from family, they are so important no matter if we only see them occasionally. The picture is really neat.

Sandy ... it is always a rushed visit in the winters, but most welcome!

mari ... i thought the fields looked so cool with the "waves" in them! we had had quite the gusty winds the night before ...

elizabeth ... i got to see 4 of my 5 nephews/niece ... so that was a treat!

felisol ... it was a perfect road trip day ... everything was snowfree (well almost!) and dry ... the next day there was ice on the roads again ... so i'm glad i went when i did!!

margie ... thank you ... :o)

Deby ... i so admire God's handiwork - it is just beautiful!

mimi ... that quote spoke to me of the people in my life - how God has brought each one of them into it ... for a reason ... since the Lord always has a plan ...

nancy ... real time hugs were great!

tina ... it was special - especially since i got to see my sister maria ...

I'm so glad you got some time with your siblings! I know what you mean -- I see my brothers only once or twice a year, and even then we don't get much chance to really talk and catch up because they both have young children who demand a lot of attention. Still, I treasure every moment with them.
