daffodils, snowbanks and light rain ...

i went for a walk on the icy streets of our little town ... a light rain falling ... dirty snowbanks all around ... i prayed as i walked ... tho' the prayers seemed to be bouncing here and there ... not really having a "productive" prayer time (as if one should rate their prayer time!) ... the verse "be still and KNOW that I am God" played through my mind ... sometimes it is good to just be still ... and always always KNOW that God is God of all situations, circumstances and just every little thing ...

be still ... KNOW that I am God ... my Heavenly Father reminded me ... and it made the rest of the walk more peaceful ...

I have those kinds of prayers sometimes too. I really love that verse, and it seems to come to me often. I think God knows I have a hard time being still and reminds me!

May the Lord 's Spirit keep you warm.

I love daffodils but can only get plastic ones here.

We had a vase of daffodils last week and have a doiley just like yours. Its good to touch base with you....spring is getting closer with each passing day isn't it. So close yet rather far away too. The lily of the valley's are just starting to break ground. Off to bed I go...an optimist at almost 1a.m. grin. Well, trying to be anyway.

Did you know that one of my bosses cleared off his desk one day about six months ago. Took everything off of it except his computer and a glass sign that stands about three inches tall, 5 inches wide. The emptiness vs. the sign made quite an impact as all the sign says is "Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10" He said that's what he wants to be reminded of every day.

I suppose the Lord hears all kinds of prayers, scatter prayers included. I feel pretty scattered lately... I needed the reminder tonight, so thank you.

How beautiful the daffodils now look with their open blossoms!
There is a lot of power and peace to be gained from that verse, and it's good to be reminded of it.
Our prayers all matter, even if they don't feel all that "productive" at the time!

mimi ... amen ... words for the day ...

maggie ann ... "He's the lilly of the valley ... " ... hope you had a good sleep ...

jj ... cool story! i love it when a person takes action, as God speaks to their hearts ... may that be me!

pat ... and they are even nicer today - they are all really open! ... and i agree - it's good to always be in a conversation with the Lord, even tho' it is scattered!

amrita ... oops - there you are - :o) ... since daffodils don't have a fragrence, maybe plastic ones are just as nice ... blessings to you ...

Dear Saija.
Your boss's act of kindness came in the nick of time. I have used this bouquet for two special saints who have gone to heaven!
I have put the bouquet at the Pilgrim Pals.
Thank you for never complaining about the way I swipe your pictures Manitoba Prairie Girl...love Terry

Your daffodils are just beautiful.
Bless your heart, that weather up there is really something. I heard someone on the Fox news say it was making folks grumpy. :o) Do you know it was in the high 60's today and is supposed to be 70 tomorrow! Then comes some rain and cooler weather. I hope your spring will come soon.
