Let not your heart be troubled ... Jesus said that some 2000 years ago ... and we still need to be reassured in todays' climate of uncertainty ...
words of comfort are needed more and more as our world encounters upheavel on a daily basis ... i especially feel for our neighbours to the south - bank failures and natural disasters seem to be the norm rather than the exception...
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also ... again, Jesus reminds us of what is truly important ... our spiritual lives aren't temporary ... they are eternal ...

Great reminder. Thanks Saija!
Pver & over again The Word reminds us that our Treasure is not earthly but spiritual. We are in this world, but not of it. I pity those who try and place their security on earthly treasures. There is no security in that!!!
Always enjoy your post, Saija. You say so much in a few words. That is a gift I do not have. Note this L-o-n-g comment :o)

Yeap!! You are talking about us and yes we really do need prayer here in the US...Our gasoline has went up so drastically and with the storms, rain, hurricanes and all it has not been fun!! We as Christians here need to unit and pray for our nation. Thanks for remembering us..Sandy
Dear Saija,
thank you once more for words of wisdom and importance.
Seems like I always will need to be reminded about where my future and treasure should be.
From yours, Felisol
That is exactly right, Saija. Thanks for thinking of us. :o)
Just the reminder I needed this morning. Thank you. Especially when I put them with the thoughts about our eternal home from your next entry.
