picture taken yesterday of our peonies

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
"Oh, that you would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me,
and that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain!"
So God granted him what he requested.
1 Chronicles 4:10

Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL flowers!!!
I love the prayer of Jabez. In my Mothers last months of life, she "re-discovered" this prayer, and it touched her so deeply. She always felt she should never ask the Lord to bless her, only to bless others. When she read this, and her heart was ready to receive it..it gave her a new closeness to God, she even laughed with joy! Now I always think of her when I read it. He never stops feeding us, no matter how well we think we know His word, there is always a new blessing, waiting to be received!

Unbelievable--okay, Saija, here's the difference...here in 100+ degree weather, we can't grow these. Yes, we have roses, practically all year long, but I can't raise peonies! :)

Beautiful peonies! We had some at our old house and I'd like to buy some for this new one. Thanks for the reminder. :) Blessings, Debra

Dear Saija,
I will also ask the Lord to enlarge your and Leo's borders.

I too seldom read the Chronicles. My father would always keep on reading the Bible from A to Z.

Not a abd idea, when one can be rewarded but such great words.
May your Sunday be especially blessed.
