back to the everyday ...

I'm pressing on the upward way,
New heights I'm gaining every day,
Still praying as I'm onward bound
"Lord, plant my feet on higher ground"

i love that hymn ... and i love that prayer ...

after being home for a little over a week, i am getting back to my routine ... also, back to the things that i am challenged with at home ... vacations are good, but when we get back - the same ole problems are still there ... hopefully,  we look at them with different eyes ... renewed patience?  ...

i am so very glad that i was able to get into the desert again ... there is something about the beauty of that landscape that draws me ...

blessings on your sunday!

I love that old hymn, I haven't thought of it in years and years! That's the way vacations are, aren't they? By the end of them, your ready for home, then when you get there...it's back to the same 'ol same 'ol! I really believe we all need a little change of scenery now and then.
The desert is beautiful in it's special way. I love to see it in bloom...BUT, I'm always afraid of snakes! YIKES!

Dear Saija,
I pray the Lord will plant us all on higher ground.
I actually think that is just what he's doing, preparing us for eternity in his special way.
He planning so many steps ahead, while we are mostly aware of the here and now situation.
"Then onwards on my journey, I came to understand, That every hair is numbered, Like every grain of sand."

Your trip must make spring seem all the closer! I loved your post & pictures. We too have viewed pics on our tv...how nice that is. And...what a precious hymn. One of my goals for the year spiritually is to memorize some hymns and lyrics. Uphill work ahead...grin.

So glad that you had a great trip. Vacations are wonderful but sometimes coming home is just as wonderful!!
My brother lives in Sun City West there in Arizona. He has been there for years upon years. Sometimes I wonder how he handles that awfully HOT weather. it gets pretty hot here but nothing like out there.
Bet Leo was happy to have you back.
