our coffee room ...

a glimpse into my day at the salt mines in the park ...

we had stopped for the traditional 3 o'clock coffee break ... our lunchroom looks out toward the lake ... the large lawn slopes down to meet the water, framed by forest on each side ... as we chatted about work (we stop from doing work, only to talk about work? silly people, eh!) we noticed a shy deer start to make her way across the yard ... she sniffed the air as she cautiously crossed from one forested side, to make her way to the other wooded area ... she had a slight limp - though she was healthy otherwise ... the serene scene played out like a disney movie ...

my work bud and i agreed - we definitely had the best seat in the house!

Just catching up on my blogging buddies... Glad to see everything is good with you :)

By the way - the mosquito zappers. We've used them for years now, and they truly are great. No spots on the walls and windows from the squeezed pests!

What a beautiful place to work...you are making a difference in the world too with your job. I love the scene you described...it sounds so tranquil for the deer. Here, we slam on the brakes when we see them standing along the edge of the road. Like .....help! its a deer!

eija ... the zappers seemed to really catch on here last summer ... :o) ... i love them! the mosquitoes aren't too bad inside the homes here in Canada because we have screens on everything ... i noticed in Finland that screens weren't as common in the homes - but then again, our mosquito population is HUGE!!! hope you have a bug-free summer! happy juhannus too!

maggie ann ... yes, those deer jump in front of cars here too! in fact the one we saw yesterday had been hit by a vehicle a few weeks back - but seems to be doing well ... today it was the canada geese that were visiting ... who knows what/who will visit next! blessings on your weekend!

michael ... i really have the best location, job wise! if you have to work - a park is nice!

jeanette ... but where was my camera? sigh ... i need to get a smaller sized one that doesn't weigh a ton!

You need to stop telling us how nice it is. We just might show up for coffee.
