someone plants, someone waters, God makes things grow ...

it has been such fun to see what the flower beds are bringing forth! i went a little snap-happy this afternoon ... thought i'd share the beauties i'm enjoying!

my contribution to these blooms has been to weed the flower beds ....

then water as needed ...

and enjoy to my heart's content!

the flowers here at our rental place remind me of this passage:
"So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building."
1 Corinthians 3:7-9 ...

when i look at the delightful flowers blooming all around this place ... i will remember that we each have a unique task to do ... we are all connected to one another ... and it is God that "makes things grow" ...

Beautiful! I walked home from worship team practice and came by our honeysuckle bush...it was a purely divine moment...reminded me of the thank offering that was a sweet savor to God...that's how I want to be!

Lovely...so glad you get to enjoy them this year!! You are so right about our place in life too...seems most often we are simply the planters or waterers...rarely the reapers. But it is so nice our GOD places equal value on them all!!

jeanette ... yes i love the sights & smells of spring - plus, hope springs eternal at this time of year!

tina ... the flowers are beautiful and beyond compare - and they just "are" ... they wait to be watered, they lounge in the sunshine - makes me smile how simple life can be!

mrsd ... the lady who planted them had a green thumb and everyone talked about her yard of flowers - of course it is a sparse yard of flowers now! but i'm enjoying what is here!

michael ... :o) ... and each one is unique!

elizabeth ... isn't it a blessing to just BE a part in the body of Christ? whatever task He gives us, is worth an equal value in His eyes to someone elses ... just to be faithful, is what i tell myself to strive for ...

They're beautiful. That's a good thing about Florida, I can keep color in my flowerbeds all year.

fred ... yes, our winters do get kind of dreary with just the white on the ground for 4-5 months ... the flowers are doubly enjoyed now!!!
