the advice of friends ...

taken this morning in the backyard - the first snowfall

dear blog buds: thank you so much for your advice and the empathy shown in your comments to my last post ... i so appreciate your candor and well thought out remarks!

and yes, i agree, more resting in the Lord is in order ...

i will also start to cozy-up the rental ... just today i gave in and ordered a new computer desk (which i was waiting to do ONLY when we bought a new home) ... as well as a side table to house some of my books ... i am looking for curtains and also some more book shelves ... i guess i will start to unpack a bit more ...

God's timing is the perfect timing ... i will work on a grateful attitude and contentment in the situation we find ourselves in! ... so there!

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11

That is exactly the scripture that I was thinking about Phil 4:11....to learn to be content. I need that too...I think we all do. We have to learn to be content in whatever state or place or "apartment" we are in....right? Sandy

Beautiful photo! I'm so jealous that you have snow already! We see snow maybe once every five years or so. I miss it.

Now that you've ordered yourself a new desk, you'll probably find your condo in no time. :)

**hugs**

Good for you! Life is now - tomorrow is unknown. So often I find myself waiting for the future, the "to-be´s" so much that I forget to live now and here. And yet, this is where God has put me for now.

Mostly it's not easy at all!

But snow... yikes! I'm glad there's no sign of it here!

I pray that a peace would settle into your heart with each box you unpack. May there just come a knowing--that God is completely in control of the housing situation and all the uncertainties of your life...and may it come in waves of assurance that just blesses your socks right off!

Sandy ... in life, i think we re-learn many a lesson ... i go along for a while - happy and content, then that little niggly feeling/idea takes a hold of my senses and runs with it! *smiling, shaking head* ... i'm hoping to be resting now - we are actually in a 2 bedroom house (3rd bedroom in basement - which is too damp to use) with quite abit of acreage - soooooo atleast it is quiet out here!

catherine ... we got more of the white stuff last night! it is a month too early for these parts ... send me your address and and i'll ship you a box of it!

eija ... absolutely - if we learn to live in the "here and now", i think we would all be much happier! no guarantees about tomorrow - except that God holds it in His hand!

tina ... thank you for that! i so appreciate your prayer! :)
