Yep...tis true...and I found in one location (of my longest abode so far) that meant to make my home my castle, my private retreat from the world, so much as possible...and cling to my friends and relatives who lived in other places because I had so few friends in that place. I am not sure of all God wanted me to learn there, but I have asked that HE please help me to always remember what HE wanted me to learn so I NEVER EVER have to repeat it. I did learn one thing, if you ever go to a town and it has a street called "Newcomer"...put on your trucking boots and get outta Dodge!! They very much kept track of newcomers and would not have any real relationship with them. In some ways, it is that way here too...but we have found 8 other people already whom we are close friends with...most of them transplants like us!! A blessing. At least it is pretty here and to do business is a pleasure...people believe in at least being polite, if not inviting close relationship. And that too is helpful! Those of us who have moved around a bit have a little different experience in life. Our plan after the military was to move to our hometown and NEVER go anyplace else...and here we are now even a continent away from there...but we see God's hand very much so in even how we got here! And we do enjoy seeing our little grandchildren on ocassion!!

elizabeth ... thanks for sharing your life experience ... we've moved around quite a bit too, each area does have it's own "rules" and attitudes attached ... AND what i liked about this pic (that my sister took, and i captioned) was the comparison to the odours this old rental house emits - and just blooming here despite! *grin*

Hi Saija, I pray you and Leo are doing well. Warming up a bit too. I've finally got back into my blog after a month long absence. No reason for not posting other than fighting depression more than usual. I always love coming here to visit you. Such an uplifting niche you have created here. Hugs and blessings to you.

catherine ... sometimes those of us in the "family of bloggers" DO seem to go through similar stuff,eh! ... maybe God designed it that way, so we can uplift each other when the burdens get too heavy? hugs backatcha!

Bless you dearie...on the odor bit...we have that to contend with here too, but at least it is less than many other places we have been...our air cleaner seems to keep most of it at bay!! I am ever so grateful to have that too!

maggie ann ... i loved the pic too! kinda made me smile and think that we can all rise above our circumstances ... even if it is just within, rather than any great outward show ... blessings on ya!

elizabeth ... i agree, thank God for the air freshners of the world!!!

What's on the toe of the boot? It looks vaguely like a bee. "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good..."
