morning images....

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust." Psalm 91:1,2

as i walked into the quiet morning kitchen, switched on the coffee pot and fed our fearless feline - i could just feel a stillness in the rooms ...

when i opened the curtains, i knew why ...

these pictures give you a glimpse of the soft snowy enchantment ...

instead of being annoyed at "snow - again!" ... i sat down to enjoy the perfect painting God had done over night ... the canvas was ever changing, as the sun took over and slowly melted the snow ...

today - the rental felt like home ... it was a lovely feeling indeed ...

however, my contentment bubble was burst when i went into town and listened to some small town chatter ... i heard our landlord wants to fix up the rental, sub-divide the property and sell ... my first thought was "oh no! when?" ... isn't there always something to start the worry juices flowing? but i have a choice - i could run with the worry and allow the "joy stealer" to put an end to my contentment or just put a stopper in it right away ... i chose the stopper!

God's timing in everything is perfect! so for "today" i will enjoy the rental ... and the beauty all around ...

Oh dear Saija...That's way too bad,but maybe God is behind this and He is preparing a new place for you. I surely do hope so.

How wonderful to have such views from your window! (The view from our dining room windows is a brick wall...sigh...). And well, sounds like you're going through another test (always something, I know...). I'm glad you know what to do now... just keep appreciating and trusting... and probably right when the lots sell, poof! God will have just the right place for you somewhere else. :) I'm glad you are liking your cozy rental...love your plate, too! :) Blessings, Debra

terry ... well since our landlord didn't say anything - maybe it's a future happening, something that shouldn't concern us ... i am just enjoying the beauty of our surroundings ... blessings on your day!

debra ... aren't the views great? and it is SO QUIET out here - no barking dogs or traffic noises - just the birds twerping! ... we have been blessed, even though it is just a temporary home ... though i supposed all homes on earth are only temporary! :o) ... hope you continue to enjoy your lovely autumn colours! ....

Dear Saija...I am just wondering.
Did you leave that lovely remark on David's blog before or AFTER you heard the rumors?
It is one inspired comment for sure!
Thanks for the nice email.
I agree..the leaves are so nice!

Eat your heart out girl.
Ha!! We STILL have fall leaves but I better not laugh too hard.
Apparently the west is sending us out a bundle of the white stuff!!...Love Terry

The snow is beautiful. We've had dry winds this week and my eyes look like I've been crying all night. I haven't, but it's a bit disconcerting to not have control over my own eyeballs. :)

Hopefully your landlord was just blah blahing and not plan planning. (hugs)

mindy ... i SO enjoyed God's creation - despite the snow! blessings backatcha!

terry ... um, i'm not sure? sometimes i talk or write to encourage myself with what i think are God's thoughts ... so it must have worked either way ... *smile* ... get your shovelled polished - hopefully you didn't get much!

jeanette ... i know what you mean re the eyeball control - last week my one eye had a tic! it's ok now - but how annoying at the time! and re the rental - i hope it was just chatter (it was his sister who i was yakking it up with) ... i'd like to stay here until we buy/build WHATEVER it is that we want - happens! *hugsbackatcha*

The snow is beautiful but how can it be? We are just having fall here. I love your spirit of contentment and faith. Isn't it true though that a snowfall brings a sense of quietness with it. Peaceful..like all the world just stopped in awe.
