another day, another problem ...

this is the rarely photographed "South Florida Squirrel" ... *grin* ... come on, it's cute, isn't it?

today was supposed to be my grocery day ... before heading for the garage (our condo has a garage - i love that!!!), i swept the light layer of freshly fallen snow off the back steps ... my heart was thankful and i was living in the moment ...

the next moment found me behind the steering wheel of our car, turning the ignition key - i remained thankful - but ... well, i only heard this "click click click" ... yup, dead battery!

*shakes head, laughs to self* ... again, this wasn't a big problem ... we made a call, and it was all done in short order ... just a change of plans for me and leo did get some fresh air (he hadn't been outside in 2 weeks or so) ... i remain thankful - just puzzled at how car batteries die without any notice ... just like people do sometimes ...

and what does the south florida squirrel have to do with this? nothing, i just liked the gentle humour of it ...

In my first miata, the battery itself just went bad. Miatas have gel batteries and I guess after awhile they just have to be replaced. Weird, huh?

j ... our cold weather is so hard on batteries ... this was the orginal, so 5.5 years old - i guess it had enough cold for it's lifespan! though we had pampered it - plugging in the car and even a garage ... but sadly to no avail! *lopsided silly grin* ...

claire ... i get a kick out of the pics that folks put together ... i used to play around with pictures too, a few years back ... so i enjoy the odd creations of others! blessings on your day!

You mean that's not a real pic? (grin) ... Everything runs on some type of energy and it's easy to forget until the "juice" is gone. Glad you only had to sweep a dusting of snow. Keep warm.

Sorry about that battery! Not a nice feeling that one, when all you get is click, click, click! I think the squirrel picture is adorable...a pearl necklace to boot! Love it. And you are so right, when we get lost in our own world, our own groove it is like a holiday. You've got me smiling again!! *hugs* dear friend...

You know what Saija? Katy's Palace is being over run by suirrels this winter.
They are destroying the bird feeders and climbing all over the place and Katy makes me chase them away!
I am sure glad that they don't have wheels like this little guy does. I am the one that NEEDS them...Love Terry

Hee hee! I love the squirrel with the pearl necklace and moccasins. Too cute! I copied it and sent it to my family.

terry ... they are pesky little critters, aren't they? this one must have been one of the more successful ones - to retire in south florida!

sabine ... *grin* ... i sent it around too ...
