check out the rain!

you couldn't even see the lake today - the rain was that heavy ... it just poured buckets and filled the ditches up ... i'm glad i was snug inside our condo central ...

though the exuberance of youth was evident in the neighbours boys ... they had their swim trunks on and they were running up and down the street! just enjoying the soggy weather and obviously enjoying life! made me smile and think about the energy one has as a youngster ...

I am sure it is a great mistake always to know enough to go in when it rains. One may keep snug and dry by such knowledge, but one misses a world of loveliness. ~Adeline Knapp

Wow...please send some of it our way, would you? We are now in the 90's and NO rain in sight...having to water our yards, not like other years when the rain comes enough to do it for us!!

connie ... yes, i do agree ... until it water logs us! *grin* ... here in manitoba, rain means the mosquitoes can't be too far behind! i should go weed the flower beds before they make their appearance ...

jel ... awww, hopefully you got out and about anyway! knowing you, a little rain didn't dampen your enjoyment of life!

susan ... yes, tho' can you see seniors running down the road with just their bathing suits on, giggling and splashing about? :o) ... cute thought ...

elizabeth ... hey there! well you know i would send some if i could!! being so parched is not good ... even in weather, moderation is a blessing ...

Puddles and mud holes were created by God and therefore what a crime against holy gifts to not enjoy and play in them!!!

Oh that is some heavy rain...we went to Ottawa on the only day we have been/will be able to for a while, and it was RAINING that day! It didn't really pour, though, which was great. I wish it were a little nicer for my mom and youngest sister who haven't been able to go there even half as many times as I've been there sighhtseeing, but at least it was warm.
Now I'm humming the country song "Stand" by Rascal Flatts all the time as I think of the Stanley Cup Finals. I don't know if you've heard it, but the chorus goes, "'Cause when push comes to shove, you find what you're made of, You might bend till you break, 'cause it's all you can take; On your knees you look up, decide you've had enough; You get mad, you get strong, wipe your hands, shake it off, then you stand." Well written, isn't it?

Have a blessed day in the Lord,
the little Pilgrim pal

you know, after your reply to susan, i'm thinking there may be a reason after all that we lose a bit of our energy as we age.

then again, i may have too vivid of an imagination.

jeanette ... i had a similar mental image and thought that it probably is for the best that only the young do those things!

Dear Saija..You know, no where does it rain so heavy, [no where that I have been anyway] as in Manitoba!
Last year when we were at the school reunion it surely did rain buckets!
I, for one refused to sit and wait in the car for when the rain stopped.
We had to get into the hall for the "meet and greet" part of the reunion and I just got out of the car and slowly walked in.
If I hadn't of been 56 years old, I would have gladly stayed out in it for a while to play!!....Love Terry

Terry ... it does indeed rain here! it's been 3 weeks of very wet weather ... there have been some road wash-outs too ... :o( ... but if it's warm enough, and you're young enough - why it can all be grand!!!
