soggy manitoba

driving to work this morning was wickedly slow ... the ridges in the highway collected with water and wanted to take my car in directions i didn't want to go! so i had to slow down, and just peer between the fast-moving wipers to make sure i stayed on the straight and narrow!

imagine my delight when the sun made it's appearance (for 5 minutes!) when i got home ... it looked so lovely that i had to take a quick walk to the beach and snap a pic or two ... here is one for you ... tho' the clouds were pulling in again ...

for my blog buds that are suffering through droughts ... i am so sorry and would happily share our liquid gold if i could ...

blessings on your weekend ...

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. Psalm 119:135

Oh, what a lovely moment you captured. I do love the rain -- but I like the sun, too. :)

Nice picture. We had the 6th wettest May in history here in Tulsa. Over 10" of rain this month. Sure has kept our temperatures nice, too. Everything is such lush green. Love it.

I get enough rain here in Britain as it is!

I glanced at the picture and at first thought that it was a road leading into the water...that would make for a wicked commute! Keep your umbrella handy!

What a pretty picture. It looks like you live in such a lovely area. How much longer do you have to work?
I have 5 more Fridays!

Hello! I thought I'd give you a "heads-up", and I don't want the Pilgrim to know, so I'm commenting back here so he hopefully won't read this...Tomorrow (Tuesday, June5) is the "Little Fish" Mike Fisher's 27th birthday...let's all write him a little note tomorrow wishing him a happy birthday on the Pilgrim's blog, and maybe that famous nephew will come over and read our notes...oh, and maybe comment, too, but that might be stretching it.

Okay, that's it for now. I've already told jel, and I'm going to write Mrs. Shirkie in a moment, but if you think of another pilgrim pal who might like a heads-up, please pass it on!

We had an unusually rainy spring in Austin this year, with a lot of nasty thunderstorms, but I think that summer is now upon us. I don't expect to see much more rain for a few months. I'm glad we got it when we did!
