last day of summer ...

today was simply a beautiful day in the prairies, this official last day of summer ... i was able to take the bike out for a spin ... just enjoying our town ...the leaves are changing colour at a quick pace ... giving that last hoorah to one season, as another is ushered in ...
i thank the Lord for giving me my lovely little, pre-planned and pre-planted (tho' not by me!) flower garden ... it has continued flowering all summer long, with a minimal amount of care ... yet a maximum amount of beauty ...

these are photo's from my day today ... it was indeed a good one!

There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart.

it looks so pretty in your part of our great big world. We do not get Fall here and i really miss that so much!!! I did see a few trees at our church today that seem to be wanting to turn colors but we do not get many here in Georgia!! It is still in the 80's here.
How is Leo? I think about him a lot and pray for him too.

Happy for your good day...such a beautiful day for a bike ride... and I can't believe the beautiful colors with the leaves changing...
I miss that... (I had the beautiful fall colors when I lived in North Carolina)
I continue to pray for you and Leo that you will have more Good Days

As I drive about, I've been noticing the subtle change of color: a splash here or there. Part of me is ready for the coolness of fall, but I miss the the beauty of fully leaved trees in winter.

nancy ... the fall always holds just a tinge of sadness for me, but it's beauty helps to sooth that feeling ...

cathy ... this is indeed a rose, just opening ... it had a second bountiful blooming - which has continued for a number of weeks now!

Sandy ... i've always lived with seasons, so tho' the winters are nasty at times - one gets used to the passing by watching the seasons change ... i bet you are pretty good at noticing the sublety of those changes around you? ... thank you for praying for leo ... he continues tired, but the doctor is attributing that to his meds and lower oxygen levels ... i keep praying that the Lord makes leo's spiritual man STRONG and just gives him comfort too!

jel ... thank you! ... you are my "scenic picture taking" sister in the Lord! :o)

mimi ... it's amazing how i appreciate the sweetness and simplicity of the good days! thank you for your prayer!

tina ... i miss the lack of colour in winter - i have so enjoyed my little flower garden this year ... everytime i come through the backdoor - it makes me smile! :o)

Beautiful photos! I love autumn -- it's my favorite season. Of course, regardless of what the calendar says, "autumn" won't begin here for another month or two. :)

Dear Saija,
thanks for being so encouraging.
Your wonderful pictures and words of joy spread light into my heart and mind.
Gunnar drove me "home" to my mother's and I got some rainy pictures of the garden there.
Rain can be beautiful, it adds gloss to the plants!
I think the Finnish people are even more towards tragdy than we are.
They've got this overwhelming hard history even up to after WW2.
Still, they also are the most artistic and innovative of all the Scandinavian people.
Still praying for Leo, that he must find a Balm in Gilead.
Can you believe: My father had this crippeling Migraine from he was 5 till the age of 76.
He went on a tough diet for two weeks and was cmpletely heald.
He never stopped praising God for this wonder.
Yours Felisol
