it was a dark and stormy night ...

storm clouds, taken from our bedroom window
aaaaaaiiiii, not a storm!!!
let me hide under this paper ...
then the hard rain fell ...
is it finished yet?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
we had another one of those interesting storms last night ... the dark clouds rolled in after an extremely muggy day ... the winds picked up, shaking the trees like feather dusters ... then the rain came down in torrents - flooding the streets ... it only lasted about 30 minutes ... even though i've included pictures of our little kitten, looking like a scaredy cat, he actually didn't seem to mind the weather at all - he took it all in stride! the rain certainly helped to cool things down in a hurry!
Oh, my goodness, that kitty should be a professional model. He is adorable. Great photos! :)
I keep hoping we'll get some good rain, but no luck yet. Some days it will act like it wants to rain, but it never does. Sigh.
The rain finally got to us last night, and it's still here. I'm glad the mowing was done on saturday...it's been hard to keep up with things this summer!
Storms like that make you extra thankful for your nice, warm home.
Scooter is ADORABLE! You just want to pick him up and cuddle him!!! (Can you tell I'm a HUGE cat lover?)
I love those summer storms that come out of nowhere... and scare all the 4-legged critters! Our animals don't usually mind. One of our cats loves to smell out the window during a storm. I guess the clean air smells nice to him!
I agree with Catherine, Scooter would make a nice kitty model. He is so picture purrrrfect!
Adorable pictures. We get that kind of storm on a daily basis down here so our kitty is accustomed to it by now.
Those storm clouds looked really bad. I am glad that you all stayed safe. The kitty doesn't look scared at all. He know he is with people that love him and he is on the inside all safe and sound. Have a great day. connie from Texas
