patio is full of ... flowers!

in july i shared a little picture of a lone petunia, blooming in the crack of our little patio ... now it's september ... see what the lone petunia started? ... it grew all on it's own ... and others followed suit ... i didn't plant a single flower that you see in the posted picture (i mean who would plant flowers in the cracks of a patio?) ... they just popped up! bright splashes of colour ... enough to cheer any heart ...

nature encourages me ... especially since i know the One who created it all ... He does very good work indeed! ...

and even though in life "stuff happens" - like leo's newest doctor, moving on and making us decide whether to follow him - or look for a 3rd new doctor - in 2 years . . . ? ? ? ? ... there is still a rhyme and reason to our lives, if we trust the Gardener ...

even though it looks odd to flower in unconventional areas - i think God loves placing bright colours in otherwise gray spots ... it encourages others to bloom ... maybe turn those gray areas into flower gardens ... flower gardens that God designed ...

I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station,
through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.
~George Washington Carver

That couldn't be any prettier if you planted them there on purpose. Like you said, I think...no I know that God has a plan to brighten our days in ways we least expect.

Beauty growing in cracks...how like our God..this is encouraging, Saija..I have so many 'cracks' in my heart...it is a wonderful picture that God can cause beauty to erupt and bloom while the crack is still visible...
Thanks again, Saija...
and this week was full of volunteering and reorganizing..looking forward to next week for reflection...and participating in Elaine's study...do take care...and His beauty shines in you..
Love, Sita

Dear Saija,
thank you for showing the beauty and power of God in the nature.
We serve an incredible Lord, who cares down to the tiniest bits.
I'll pray for you that He'll show you what to do what Leo's doc concerned as well.
Chronically ill persons are so dependent of an knowing and understanding physician. I do know that from our own life.
We have been blessed to have the same doc for 15 years.
He even takes care of Serina living 11 hours drive away from home..
Sp, yes, I would not wonder if you decided to move after your doc. Then again, you will not know how long your doc will stay on the next place either.
I'll pray for you, that the Lord may lead you to the right decision.
May He, who's caring about the sparrow, give you of his peace and consolation.
From Felisol

I've never seen flowers so full grow out of a crack in the cement. That's pretty neat.

Maybe I should get rid of dirt in my flower garden and replace it with cement.

God certainly know how to show you his creations and his love through the flowers growing in such unlikely places...we are supposed to bloom where we land...
I pray for you and Leo as you decide what to do about your doctor...

What a bright and cheery patio ... adorned with His beauty. I just love when things bloom unexpectedly. Today I saw two tomato plants growing around my two apple trees .. must have been from seeds in my home made compost ... it made me smile to see how strong, fast and healthy they grew compared to the ones started in tiny peat pots. God's timing is everything .. including knowing which direction to lead you in finding or following a doctor. May he give you both a clear direction. Hugs from the North Woods.

I'm so sorry Leo's doctor is moving -- again! I remember how happy you were when you found him and he agreed to take Leo's case. Hang in there!

The flowers are gorgeous! I love how they look poking up through the cracks in the patio.

Wow, your patio volunteer flowers are so pretty!!

Life has a way of demanding we be flexible, doesn't it? I hope the doctor you find will be ok.

Blessings,
Elizabeth

Beautiful, Saija.

We had a cherry tomato plant that came back this summer after my hubby pulled it out last year. It's in the cracks of our patio, too.

I'm thankful for the unexpected tomatoes. :)
