The first bloom is so anticipated, and it never disappoints...it's always so beautiful. Enjoy all the blossoms God provides - while eating your candy from the parade!
Oh thats a beauty! How'd you get the ants off? (I think I just made up a new spelling of How did....hee hee) I'm so tired I'm silly-er than usual. =). today I did a good bit of weeding outside. Told my hubby I was over the allergies I've had all thru June. Well, speak of the devil! I'd only been inside about 40 minutes? and have been blowing my nose ever since. Its time to reshelf my book collection, seeing if I wasted any space you know. I want to lose 2 bookcases to make room for my cello practise. It may only be a dream...but I'm trying! Back to the salt-mines! I just got online to go to ebay and see if my Classics of the Old West is worth listing. I think it may be. Now, to bother with it or not? *hugs* dear friend! Have you ever enjoyed 'Miss Read's 'books...or isn't she your cup of tea I wonder? If I'm in the mood, I find her books very relaxing with a bit of ornery humor in them.
I feel your excitement with the first peony of the summer. Don't you just love to inhale their old fashioned scent??? Mine are similar to your ... but a little more pink.
BTW: regarding Maggie Ann's comment about the ants. Someone told me they are necessary for the flowers to open.
Enjoy your summer weather ... it's about time. Glad to read the Leo is out and about getting some fresh air ... it's good for the mind, body, and soul, eh?? :)

We have a peony just like that. Just beautiful! Ours didn't last long this year. They were so pretty and then we had a huge rain storm. Enjoy yours!
What a beautiful picture, and only God can make something as pretty as this peony!
