not quite spring yet!

ok - so i'm going with a shamelessly cute photo!!! i wish it were springtime here ... but we are getting snow, ice pellets and high winds at the moment ... the poor little kitty pictured above would be holding on for dear life, with flower petals swirling in the air all around it!

on a day like this, i have just been reading ... first the sunday paper ... then a novel by Dawn Ringling (so far it is a good read) ... and of course Amazing Race is on tonight ... *grin* ...

my poor sweetie is not feeling the best with this weather (dampness is so bad for chronic pain folks) ... atleast he has some favourite sports on tv like: curling, basketball and NASCAR ... plus having his wife serve him sub sandwiches and choco milk ... like can't be all bad? ...

thought i'd just post a hello ... and then go put my nose back in the book! maybe tomorrow the sun will come out and play again ... maybe?

O won't that be joy, joy! O won't that be joy!
when life is over, the race is run, And I hear my Savior's "Well done,"
O won't that be joy, joy! O won't that be joy!
The journey ended, the victory won, 'Twill be joy, joy, joy!

Book time can be especially nice sometimes. :) It's nice that you get to spend this time together and don't have to race off to work. :)ht

jel ... yes, spring will be here SOON! in fact, next week the temps are already supposed to be in the 50F's ... ya! ... last night we had such big winds, that in my minds eye, i saw this little kitty hanging onto the branch and doing full circles at a crazy cartoon speed! *grin*

Spring does something to the hearts of people. It is nice. Where would you and I be without the Lord? We would probably be in the same boat heading for disaster....lol.

I am so sorry that Leo is not feeling well again Saija..I know I complain a lot about the cold weather but at least I am not going through pain like your sweetheart is. It must get so discouraging for him!
What is the matter with serving him subs and hot chocolate though?
Does he ever give you a tip?
He watches curling, eh? I remember when that game first came out as a Canadian sport. I think that it mostly started in Manitoba!

Well I better go to bed.I don't have to work until tomorrow evening but I guess i better get a little sleep before!!...Love Terry

That "pussy willow" is SO cute Saija!!

terry ... don't be sad for us, we all have a cross to bear and God DOES give us the strength daily ... it's just that some days it seems the strength only comes at the end of the day! strength to believe that tomorrow will be better ... that is only on bad days ... after our taxes are done, maybe leo will feel a bit better - he still does ours and the simple sitting, reaching, writing - takes a few days and is not pretty to watch - but it is something he can still DO, that in itself is important ... blessings on ya ...

maggie ann ... yes, a good book is like a trip ... and i am still enjoying this book immensely - even tho' it is about a christian home where the husband leaves, it still tells a story of faith & redemption, very well ... hope you are having a mah-vell-us week!
