What a great reminder, Saija! And I love the photo. I spent many hours in my youth on ice skates, and the best times were in relative solitude. Such a good reminder to not go in our own strength too -- so easy to do. I read the account of David and Goliath yesterday in 1 Sam. 17. Talk about quiet confidence! David ran toward Goliath (I didn't remember that detail), claiming confidence in his God who delivered him from the paw of the lion and bear. Too often I lack confidence because I am trusting in myself, not God.
Thanks for making me think -- didn't mean to preach, it was more to myself. Stay warm :-) ~Joyce
no worries Joyce, i preach to myself often! and some finds it's way on my blog or a note ... as you say, just thinking outloud and preaching to self! and that's a good thing ... blessings on ya!
