 The world's values are tumbling like a house of cards ... it is time to value what is worthwhile ... Jesus Christ ... it is only through HIM we have forgiveness of sins and a home in heaven ... Value HIM above all ... 

" ... whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."  John 3:15-17

Help needed!

 YUP!  If Only we could just "do what is right" ... BUT we need Holy Spirit help to accomplish that ... just keep reading the word, praying and trying to focus on Jesus ... we are living in interesting times ... God knows that and He knows us ... Lord, let your WORDS bring us comfort as we live one day at a time.

i am a child of God ...

 When the world goes crazy ... it is good to know that we have a Heavenly Father who is above it all ... a Father who loves us and will care for us.  Let not your heart be troubled ... God's plan is being worked out before our very eyes.

 And isn't that something to PRAISE the LORD about!

even ANY appearance of evil ... ABSTAIN ...

 if we are to shine for Jesus ... if we are to be the light in all this darkness ... we need to ABSTAIN from even every appearance of evil ... for me, part of that appearance is to not drink alcohol ... i come from a long line of alcoholics ... and i never once heard someone say that their life was so much better because they drank ... quite the opposite ... and ABSTAIN is a most excellent choice of word used in this verse ... to ABSTAIN takes many forms ... whichever is the one that allows your light to shine - use it ... ABSTAIN so that GOD can make the wattage of your faith that much more powerful ... 

God works ... just be available.

"You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you ... ~ " 2 Chronicles 20:17

Wherever it is that GOD has you - have no fear - HE has brought you there and will work through you  ... and sometimes we just need to be that one light, shining in the darkness ... GOD will convict the hearts of those near by who see HIS light shining through us ... the battle IS the LORD'S.

God is ABLE

Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.

it's been a year now since my husbands colon cancer surgery ... God has restored him back to health ... the LORD is so good, and we are grateful.

trust in the LORD

GOD is our High Tower ... our refuge ... to be in JESUS, is to be eternally safe ... repent, believe and LIVE ... 

keep looking up ...

 be wise ... keep looking up ... 

for your redemption draws near.
