would you believe i JUST watched narnia for the first time last night? i had never read the series either ... though i knew about it, but this is all first time stuff for me ...
WOW ... disney really did do a 1st rate job on the movie ... and the message came through loud and clear ...

I guess we'll have to re-rent it. We rented it, started it (late), fell asleep, couldn't get back to it, then had to return it!
Saija--so glad you got to see this and that you liked it, too! Tom and I saw it in the theater (2nd run, at the cheap one) and loved everything about it. Oh, and the books are even better--maybe a good summer read? :) ... Debra
i never read the books either but we bought the movie. i liked it...so did the kids and hubby
gayla ... it takes a bit to get going, but once you get all 4 of the kids in narnia - well it moves along very quickly - very well done!
debra ... i think seeing it at the movies would be super! :o) ... i do love C.S. Lewis writing, so the books would probably be great to read!

It was a great flick... Lots of action. Great message.
We've got it at home; I just haven't found the time to see it yet. It's definitely on my to-do list this summer.

I have not read the books either nor do I intend to do so. My other family members have however. But we have the original movie on videos and have watched it often during the years and then we went to the theater to see the recent one. I thought each movie had its merits....just different from each other. Both give one pause to consider some things...Glad you enjoyed viewing the new one!

elizabeth ... i have a recollection of an old narnia movie ... with the modern techno stuff, i'm glad they made a re-make ... isn't it amazing how well it was done?

tim ... i think most of the older versions seem to take into account what made the books such treasures! but since i didn't have a comparison, i thought this new version was a good film! hope all is well in Alberta!
