comfort or style ...

excuse the barely awake look ... i did have 2 cups of coffee, but it was sort of gloomy out this morning, so i was still trying to WAKE UP!

thought i'd post a current pic of me in my "all purpose" dress ... do you have an all purpose outfit?

this comfy number has been to a wedding, graduation, 60th anniversary party, many work days ... and today i wore it to a funeral ... when i put it on, i can just be myself at whatever kind of function i'm at ... i'm usually a no frills type of person and as long as i'm presentable - well that will do for me ...

"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness..." Isaiah 61:10

the funeral was for my childhood friend's mother ... she had been ailing for quite awhile ... the family, though sorrowful, were relieved that their mom had finished her earthly journey and could rest ...

just a quick note ... wishing you a weekend full of comfort, joy, love of family ... but most important - the presence of God ...

You are a very attractive woman. Thanks for putting a picture in. It helps to get an idea of who I am talking with each and every day. I need to put one up of myself once i get one that I approve of..*smile*..don't hold your breath!!
You have a great weekend also..

Now that's a wonderful dress...to be that comfortable and versitile! I don't think I have one outfit like that, but I'm pretty comfortable in my clothes. I wouldn't win a style show and my kids are always on me: my jeans are too tight at the bottom, my skirts too long, etc. But I'm comfortable and generally content!

elizabeth ... thankyou ... and as the verse i quoted says, the best clothing is the covering of salvation ... and i am sure you will find a lovely outfit for such a happy occasion (we have no children, so no daughter weddings for us) and will look absolutely radiant in it! blessings!

Sandy ... *blush* ... thank you ... and it is nice to post pics we approve of - though i don't usually look this sleepy - maybe it's my dopey look that is appealing? ... *chuckle* ... i'm off to the salt mines in the park soon - blessings on your weekend!

tina ... ain't it though? i picked it up in AZ in 2000 for $12 ... everyone laughs at me for remembering things like that, but i so love a deal and if i can wear the outfit out - well super-duper! have a restful weekend, you hard working girl!

WOw...that is even better...such a bargain! I love bargains best!! ha!
Thanks for the sweet remarks too...this is our atheist daughter marrying another athiest...but it is the best we can hope for in her present condition spiritually. At least he appears to have some "GOD hunger" and we do really love him. So we hope for the best and that this will really be GOD's plan for her, in spite of her! (2nd marriage too at age 28 already divorced...thankfully no children)...sigh...

Loved your all-purpose dress and you look sweet in it! And that big black cloud in your post above.... eeks--scarey! Glad the tornado didn't come near your place--God is good! Blessings, Debra

debra ... all purpose clothes fit my lifestyle! :o) ... and yes, that cloud was part of a very bad, dangerous system that did some damage around here - as well as injury ... we were thankful for our safety - and saddened for those that got hit!
