home again

it was a wonderful trip ... thank you Lord!

the 40th anniversary celebration for my aunt and her husband was so sweet and joy-filled ... absolutely a delightful party to attend!

the pic below goes as follows ... the "bride" is in the middle, the "maid of honour" is on the left and of course, you do know yours truly - who was a "junior bridesmaid" back then!! the dress i am wearing was the actual dress worn by the maid of honour, 40 years ago at the wedding ... the flower girl from the wedding was there as well, but unfortunately she wasn't around when this pic was taken ...

we have some old friends dropping by tomorrow ... so i best scoot off to bed ... i think life has gotten busier now that work is finished for a season ...

and there is still so much to share ... and blog buds to visit ... but it will have to wait ...

blessings sent your way!

welcome home! It's been fun reading your snippets from the trip, but it's good to "have you back", too :)

So nice that you are back Saija!!
The prairie daugther has returned!

That is really something.
You are tiny enough to fit into the maid of honor's dress!!
And it looks so pretty on you!
The bride is STILL beautiful and the maid of honor looks like a lady after my own heart!!
Looks like she would be a real fun person!!
When you find a picture of the flower girl, Saija, you could always clone her in with this picture...Just blend her right in!!

Take care now and have a rest but we are all looking forward to your blog again!!....Love Terry

elizabeth ... everyone was amazed at the lovely material of the dress (all handmade 40 years back)and the way it still seemed to be in style ... i just figure that my aunt has excellent taste - even back then ... :o)

maggie ann ... we were glad to get together for a happy occasion, it seems that the sad occasions come up more frequently as one ages - so we all just enjoyed ... the young ones were fun to watch, and it was a wonderful time to catch up on family/friends news!
